The city is the center of population of Tennessee, located 34 miles (55 km) southeast of downtown Nashville in the Nashville metropolitan area of Middle Tennessee. It is Tennessee's fastest growing major city and one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Murfreesboro is also home to Middle Tennessee State University, the second largest undergraduate university in the state of Tennessee, with 22,729 total students as of fall 2014.

Finding authentic, or even palatable, Mexican food in Murfreesboro is next to impossible. Carmen's is typical of a restaurant when opening served good food As with other Mexican restaurants in our town the quality has substantially diminished. They need to spend more time assuring that food leaving the kitchen is not just left over re-heated product that leaves much to be desired.

My husband wanted Mexican food for dinner. So I looked on Trip Advisor to see what the best was in our area. To our surprise, Mi Patria won out. We had been past this place many times while running or visiting the mall. Never did we think we would be eating here because itâs very dingy looking from the outside. This place has Authentic Mexican food. My husband got a California burrito. I got the mixed (Chicken and steak) fajita. Our food was really hot when it came out (my fajita did not sizzle). The food was well seasoned. The salsa and chips were served soon after we sat down. They were delicious as well. The salsa was medium and the chips were warm which is how I like mine. The water was very good and smooth. Here are my negatives: Our waitress didnât recommend any specials. Pay attention to the specials board when you visit. The ceiling is in need of repair. Lots of patches and more needed. The decor needs changing and updating. Lots of mixing and matching of chairs. The steak in my meal was very chewy. I couldnât eat it without having to spit out bits and pieces. However the chicken was very very good. I should have gotten an all chicken fajita. I didnât check out the bathroom to report on that.Lastly, we got there around 5:30 and there was immediate seating. Once we were done eating and paid for our food, the line was literally out the door (see photo). I guess we slept on this one, but we will be back.

I ate lunch there with my two preteen boys. Seated quickly especially since our visit was on a Sunday (after church hours). Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious. Restaurant was clean. Thank you so much for taking the time to send us this feedback. We love hearing about the great service and food you recently received at our Fultondale Chili's. We will share this feedback with the manager and hope you'll come back and see us!

This us our favorite Camino Real location. We always receive good service (Gabriel is the best waiter) and our food is always excellent. My only concern/complaint is they allow smoking on the outside patio. It doesn't have any cross ventilation and has a covered roof. When the outside doors going into the restaurant are open (which is frequently with the staff and customers going in and out) the cigarette smoke and smell come into the dining area. It is just like when smoking was allowed in restaurants and you were seated next to a smoker(s). I am wondering if this a violation of the smoking law. As I said, this is our favorite Camino Real location, yet we are reconsidering going there because of the cigarette smoke.

We love Nacho's! The servers are super friendly and the food is terrific! I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the molcajete has to be one of the best dishes on it. It is super delicious. They have excellent nightly specials and live music on Thursday nights. They had a trivia game once when we were there, though I'm not sure that it is a regular event. The outside seating is nice unless there are smokers eating outside with you. I only wish Nacho's were on our side of Murfreesboro!

I have dined at Freebirds World Burrito a number of times, but I never knew they had TACOâS!!! Decided to sample the taco options and went with Carnitas and Steak. What I love about Freebirds is how fresh everything is from the vegetables, meats, sauces, and individually warmed soft taco shells. Added some queso and chips with a beer and had a wonderful meal. As usual, the service provided was exceptionalâ¦a really nice place to enjoy a meal.

Stopped for lunch with my wife, a friend and his family. Service was spot on, and the food was great. What brought us to Chuyâs was someone mentioned wanting a Chimachanga. The first place that came to mind was Chuyâs. Atmosphere is lively with nice outside seating. By the way, the âChuychangaâ did not disappoint. You will get bowl fulls of the fresh chips and salsa.

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor while traveling through Murfreesboro. I had the bang bang chicken, with red charro beans, hubby had the burger and fries after reading the reviews and taking the serverâs recommendation. The chef/owner came out to see how everything was and thanked us for coming. Server was very helpful, too.
