This is one of those places that you would drive by and not even give a second glance to. We happened to discover it at the Taste of Oakland Park and decided to come and check it out.The restaurant is a stand-alone building that is non descript. The interior is small, but the staff is very warm and friendly. This restaurant specializes in Mexican and Salvadoran foods. We started our meal with Horchata, which is a blend of rice milk and cinnamon and our first time ever having it. It was YUMMY and comes in a huge glass. Each table is served chips, which were warm and crispy, and a homemade salsa. The salsa was very good. Not too spicy, but has a slight kick. For starters we tried the Sweet Corn Tamales (it was like eating a dessert!) and a bean Pupusa, which is a traditional Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with items of your choice. It comes with this wonderful sauce and cabbage mix to be placed on top. It wasn't greasy at all and I would definitely recommend to try it. For the main entries we had the Grilled Chicken Breast that is topped with grilled peppers and onions. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and I like the fact that it is grilled. It is accompanied with black beans (AMAZING FLAVOR) and a rice that has some mixed vegetables in it. Delicious! The other dish we tried was the Salvadoran Steak in Red Sauce, which is sauteed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Highly Recommended! The sauce almost tastes like an Italian tomato sauce and goes well with everything. I even liked it on my chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. This, too, is accompanied with black beans and rice plus fried plantains. Definitely a Winning Dish!Portions are large and we, unfortunately, had no room for dessert. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming to check it out. Don't be fooled by looks on the outside, as inside, is definitely a treat for your taste buds!PS - If this review was useful, please click the HELPFUL button on your phone or you can click the THANK YOU button on your computer. Tried Oceans Grill for the first time after hearing good things about it. Lived up to the high marks for the vast majority of things. Notably - the Pork Chop (2+ pounds each) seasoned, grilled/baked to perfection is a 10+ for certain. Scallops and shrimp appetizer also great! Veggies and sides nothing special in fact was fine skipping them the times we’ve been back. Caesars salad with Mahi excellent. Drinks and wine pours of great value. Bartender Jaime and server Rachel awesome! So nice to hear thank you so much

We were warmly greeted and showed to a lovely table. The lamb chops were delicious and the skirt steak special was equally delicious. We had the yellow tail roll, which was made with a tortilla, as an appetizer. The tortilla just didn't hit the mark - the remainder of the roll was very flavorful - but the tortilla just didn't help to elevate it. (It would have been better w/o)The wine list is good and has nice value. Dessert was the decadent brownie and yummy ice cream - amazing. The presentation on all items was top notch. It's pricey - our meal with tip was just under $200; but, before you think that's too high, please realize that the food is fresh and VERY well prepared. There is tremendous attention to detail, and the service staff is professional and well-trained - and all of this makes a memorable "dining experience". It's a lovely restaurant for a romantic dinner.
