A large group of friens went, because it looked really nice from the outside. They had no menu cards, so they had to repeat their dishes over and over again. It took a long time for the food to arrive. The dishes were very small compared to what we paid, though they did taste good, and some of us went away hungry after eating there.

We have eaten here twice and both times have been delicious we have eaten pasta and Madagascan, the pasta was tasty and just as I would expect and the zebu was the tenderest I have eaten in 2 months here!! it came with dauphinoise potatoes and grilled veg both were a great accompaniment to the zebu (I love rice but I'm a bit over it now) we have also been for cocktails as the brilliant barman mentioned that they are his speciality we love long island iced tea and these were not on the menu so after telling him the recipe and Google helping out just a little we had very good cocktails served. The position of the restaurant is right on the main walkway of the town and its great to watch all the action while sipping a delicious cocktail. If your here this restaurant is really worth a visit.

We were very disappointed by the service. They forgot the to cook/serve part of the order - my wife's plat never arrived. And it took almost forever to get the order. When we were ready to leave, we had to wait again for the bill. The restaurant has good location and interesting decor - romantic looking, a yard with lots of green. Food quality? I might have rated it good if it were not for the service - you know, the meal does not taste good when you are upset.

We were looking forward to eating here after all the positive reviews. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We arrived at the restaurant and it was fairly busy, but nothing so as to overwhelm the owner or the serving staff. It took 20 minutes for them to even come to our table to take our drinks order. It took another half an hour for the drinks to arrive.No-one would have bothered to take our food order had we not interrupted a waitress, to say we had decided what to order. After waiting one hour for the food to arrive , one persons food in our group was served ,but no-one else! Eventually when we said could we cancel our orders and pay for our drinks the rest of the main courses arrived. In total we waited 1 and half hours for our food. The owner could see what was happening but not once did he come and apologise. The waitresses were terrible , they were rude and at times aggressive in manner, when questioned about why it was taking so long. From our point of view this seems to be the kind of place where the owner and his friends hang out at the bar, and the business of food/ service etc is secondary to them all having fun. When our food eventually arrived it was nice , but by then we were totally put off the place.If like me you may read this review and compare it to all the positives and decide we were just a fussy group, I can assure we were not and this a genuine review of this restaurant. When we spoke to other locals ( this is my husbands home town), they all said they had similar experiences and had we told them of our intention to go to this restaurant would have advised us to go elsewhere.I would not recommend this restaurant.

We have tested this restaurant three times and have been well satisfied with the food both times. Well, I ordered a dessert with chocolate fondant and it was over cooked so it was basically just chocolate cake. But it was no big deal.The restaurant has menu in English, witch is hard to find in Nosy Be. The staff is friendly, attentive and speaks ok English. They have free wifi.

Visited Su e Giu during our stay in Diego, went there for dinner after reading the great reviews. The food was amazing, possibly the best meal we have had in Diego. I would definitely recommend trying Su e Giu but beware, the owners we extremely rude to us. Initially the owner didnât acknowledge us and we had to wait a long time when we had finished our food, even though there wasnât a lot of people there. She was actively shouting at her staff in front of all the customers and was clearly unhappy to be taking our order when all the other staff were busy. There was an extra charge on the bill for alcohol that we did not have, which we pointed out to the server. The owner was made aware of the error and rather than apologising, she decided to stare and point at our table whilst continuing to shout, as if we had done something wrong. We payed the final bill and left, only for the owner to bellow at us down the stairs because we had misinterpreted a number on the bill that looked to be another number. When I explained this, she completely ignored me with no apology or understanding. Despite the great food, the disgusting behaviour of the owners means that I would never come here again or recommend to those visiting Diego. We were staying in a different hotel, saw the reviews online and decided to go there (after calling in advance) just to learn that they won't let us dine in the restaurant unless we stay in the resort it is at. Very frustrating as we had to go back.Dear springthrualens, despite many years of management and thousands of reviews read, we are still very surprised when we see how somebody who chose to spend his/her holiday in a paradise like Nosy Be can find time to write something absurd as you did!!! You dare to give us a âterribleâ by writing that, to make it short, you could not enter both the Restaurant and the Resort!!! I feel like saying âI canât believe it!!!â More in details, you want to eat in a Restaurant without booking, without asking for availability, without being informed of the dress code or the closing day â¦â¦none of this normal procedures !!! You wanted to access the restaurant while you were wandering on the beach, without following these procedures that are a standard all over the world!!! No, no and no again!!! You were not granted the access and neither you will next time, if you do this !!! There are ways, education and respect for the business, respect for the hundreds of people working there that we think you should give !!! Why didnât you pass to the reception to ask for more information? Why didnât you ask to speak to the Manager ??? In brief: who do you think you are? This unique restaurant is on an island connecting two beaches in Andilana resort. At low tide it is easily accessed from the beach. The view is over the clear blue waters of Andilana beach. It is essential to make bookings from the desk next to the excursion centre of the resort . Prices are hefty and in euro but make for a very special meal!
