Ci siamo imbattuti per caso in questo ristorante che trovandosi sulla strada che congiunge due centri principali si presta ad un rapido pranzo, pensavamo ad una cosa rapida e semplice invece siamo entrati in un locale di una ambientazione sì semplice ma al tempo stesso raffinata, che in un corner credo curato da una signora italiana e da un giovane malgascio, che sembra uno stilista, permette lâacquisto di prodotti tipici e souvenir non banali e di una certa classe, gioielleria, turbanti, magliette in stile etnico... Il titolare italiano e chef è venuto ad accoglierci personalmente e ci ha suggerito il pranzo che è stato un semplice antipasto di vegetali con delle salse molto sfiziose, seguito da degli spiedini di pesce con riso allo zafferano e verdura cotta. A seguire caffè italiano e un dolce alla vaniglia. Porzioni adeguate, cucina molto raffinata, personale di servizio gentile, titolare cordiale e discreto, appare sempre con garbo e consiglia in maniera non petulante. Ambiente cordiale è stato facile conversare con altri clienti. Nel locale era presente fra i clienti uno chef di un albergo rinomato con la famiglia nel suo giorno libero... Il ristorante mi è piaciuto moltissimo. La posizione non è però centrale ma il proprietario ci sa fare e il cibo è ottimo. Rapporto qualità prezzo elevatissimo. Sicuro che ci torno anche solo per un lunch break e per vedere menù più complicati.

Dieses kleine madagassische Familienrestaurant ist offensichtlich kein Geheimtipp mehr, die 4 Tische sind abends schnell besetzt. Das taeglich wechselnde, preiswerte Menü besteht aus jeweils 2-3 Gerichten, alles wird frisch vom Chef zubereitet. Die Portionen sind ordentlich, das Essen sehr schmackhaft. Dazu gibt es ein kleines Getränkeangebot, das Bier so kalt, wie man es sich hier wuenscht. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich - alles in allem rundum eine Empfehlung!

I have been fortunate to visit many poor countries and most have a real vibrancy within their shopping and food markets being their livelihood.I failed to see any of this from my visit. Meat market real dirty and fly blown, the quality of vegetables was really poor with spices wrapped in small plastic bags.The flys in this market were just all over the food. There was one old lady that had netting over her produce- shame no one else following her attempts to show a minimum standard.It was difficult to move without being constantly hawked.Not appealing at all and put me off food in the time I spent there.

The local fisherman recommended this small restaurant to cook our fishes we caught on our fishing trip. At Chez Mama they really made the maximum out of our catch! Thinly sliced carpaccios with pepper, lime and oil as a starter and deliciously grilled fish for the main course. The price for the cooking was very reasonable and the service very attentive and friendly.

We had lunch for two of the three days in this area and so enjoyed meeting Nono and eating at his wonderful restaurant. The food is freshly prepared, his burgers are awesome and his chicken satay is as good as any Bali restaurant. My fiance had the Chicken with mushroom sauce and chips which was excellent! The prices of this restaurant is much more affordable than other restaurants in the same road and offers excellent value for money. Nono also has South African wines and THB Beer at affordable prices and good quality! His waitresses are all wonderful and very eager to please with good english. All in all a wonderful experience not to be missed!!
