Visitamos esta cafeterÃa-bar-restaurtante un domingo de mayo de 2018. Buscando donde comer seis personas, sin conocimiento de la zona.Tras echar un ojo por los alrededores, un par de restaurantes con precios muy elevados, uno incluso con una estrella Michelin, y un tercero con todo el aforo completo, dimos con este lugar. Solicitamos reservar mesa para una hora después y no tuvimos ningún problema. Mientras esperábamos a unos amigos, nos sentamos en la pequeña terraza enfrente de la puerta y tomamos unas bebidas.Al cabo de un rato, entramos para comer y nos sentaron en el comedor de abajo, ya que cuentan con otro en el piso superior.El servicio francamente familiar y acogedor. Limpieza perfecta. Un poco incómodas las mesas, para colocar las piernas, podrÃan estar mejor. En general todo bien.Y en lo que respecta a la comida, una buena carta, con mucho articulo casero y bien preparado. Servicio ágil y atento. Platos generosos y bien presentados. Relación calidad-precio muy buena.El ambiente es cálido y tranquilo. La localización del local es céntrica y cuenta con un parking público del Ajuntament a una calle por encima de la calle del restaurante.En resumen, un excelente lugar para comer, sin más pretensiones ni adornos que ofrecer al cliente una experiencia satisfactoria, que es a lo que vamos.

I was in Balaguer and I used Tripadvisor to select an affordable place to eat a good lunch. I was downtown, and walked 20' to Les Roquetes. Not worth it. Had snails, a typical food from the area. Were ok, only ok. Then cod. Baaad. Bland and poorly cooked. Will not be back.We feel that your experience was not pleasant for you.We will try to improve following their advice. The only criticism that his comments is 20 minutes from downtown, we're just REVIEWS center and from one end of the city there are only five minutes. Greetings and if you decide to rethink and re qua try to please your own experience as pleasant.Direction Restaurant

We were here for our 60th anniversary but 2 days before looked on line and found this restaurante we liked it very much so when our friends arrived decided to go there for our anniversary the meals were first class then the music started playing for us and in came a cake then flowers for my wife , our friends had arranged it all , but the owners are very nice and pleasant , if I lived in Balaguer I would be in there a lot , cant think of a reason to look for another restaurante with a great choice of food.

The complexity of a service is composed of many aspects and, in some cases, the notoriety of only one of them is capable of eclipsing the rest of the variables. And this is precisely what happens to this restaurant.Despite staying at the bar we were treated very late, the dishes also came out late from the kitchen and our place was not clean.

They werent fluent in English, but they went through trouble to serve us as good as possible. Prices were perfectly affordable and we got tasty food for the price we paid.Also excellent place to sit at the terrace in the shadow with a nice breeze.Very much recommended!

Good food, better service. A must do in Balaguer. Even if passing by, is worth a stop. Their tapas and dessert selection is home made. We're quite proud of our food and service, thank you so much for considering us a must do in Balaguer! No reason why an out of towner would go to this restaurant, except when all in restaurants in town are closed for a public holiday. Off the beaten track near an industrial estate. Packed with local families eating hearty platefuls of rather disappointing food. My broad bean and squid starter was totally bland and my main course stew was stringy boiled meat and gristle. Perhaps if weâd be earlier, I would have had more luck. Service was friendly and efficient. Maybe it was just a bad day Thank you very much for your comment. Your opinión will be very accounted although sincerely, it costs us to share it. And yes, the dishes are whith abundant food. Until next time.

Not knowing Balaguer we asked some passers-by for place to eat and they kindly showed us the way. Saturday at lunchtime: crowded with happily yakking people, good atmosphere. Attractive tables with crisp white linen, We limited ourselves to pizzas and a bottle of white wine. Both more than adequate. Sorry for the short stay but we still had a long way to go. Next time we'll be happy to repeat.

Wisely guided by TripAdvisor, we selected Can Xirricló (www.calxirriclo.com) for dinner on last Saturday evening, and were absolutely flabbergasted to find a first-class Michelin-star-level restaurant in downtown Balaguer, which by the way isn´t probably the nicest city in the surroundings of Lleida.The exquisite Catalan-style cuisine, wisely orchestrated by Francesc, the third generation representative of family Molins in charge since 1954, ended with a sweet interpretation of a porcini mushroom (see picture). Finally, even the price was reasonable (below 100⬠for two).
