Orem is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States, in the north-central part of the state. It is adjacent to Provo, Lindon, and Vineyard and is about 45 miles (72 km) south of Salt Lake City. Orem is one of the principal cities of the Provo-Orem, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Utah and Juab counties. The population was 84,324 at the 2000 census, while the 2010 population was 88,328 making it the fifth-largest city in Utah. Utah Valley University is located in Orem. The Orem Owlz of the minor league baseball Pioneer League play their home games at the college.

There's no menu - your meal costs $24.95 per person. For that you get a wonderful fresh buffet of fruits, vegetables, California roll, salads, edamame, dumplings, other hot foods and soups. You can also choose all kinds of cuts of meats - beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp and sausage and vegetables to cook over your own grill at your table. It's really cool and the thinly sliced items cook quickly. There are sauces at your table and you also get rice - white or brown. You can keep cooking and eating to your heart's content. All so fresh, all tasty and the staff keeps things filled so you don't miss out on anything. It's a busy place, located right across from the Megaplex theaters in Vineyard. People were waiting for tables at 6:15. Get there at least an hour before your movie if that's why you're out that way.

Can't write a great review for my experience at this restaurant. I was very disappointed. I ordered the Stroganoff - BAD choice. The meat was like shoe leather and the sauce did not even come close and was very scarce. The mushrooms were almost non existent. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant for a second chance. It was not clean enough to be appealing and the counter help left much to be desired.

I asked Siri for "best restaurants near me" and she gave me Asahi Sushi Bar even though I live in east Provo on the bench. We decided to try it out (not our normal practice for sushi) so we drove the 5 miles to this delightful place. The owner personally served us and lead us through the process of choosing a variety of great appetizers and rolls. Oh my! We were very impressed and food was very fresh and delicious. I am a bit of a sushi snob and it is not easy to please my sushi roll palate. This was outstanding and the tempura appetizers were among the best I have ever eaten. The tempura was so light and flavorful that I could have been satisfied with filling up on the tempura vegetables. Don't drive far for great sushi (unless you live far from Orem). This is right by Macey's around the corner on State Street and will fill your sushi spot.

Our lunch was superb. Excellent food, service and ambiance. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, with artistic presentation. The entrees were delicious, the crunchy parts as crunchy as the should be, the meats tender and savory. We left happy! Highly recommended!

Salad: They used a costco type mix spring salad mix, big heavy cut american cucumbers with giant seeds still in the middle, caned....YES caned mandarin oranges that actually tasted like the can and a ginger vinegar dressing that was ok but the flavors were not mixed well. The sushi: Rice was middle grade quality, fish was great. The eel sauce was very sugary. I would never go back even with a coupon

After visiting Japan, we were excited to compare with Orem's ramen. And it is excellent! The pork is tender, the broth is exquisite. The staff is friendly but busy. There is always a wait, but it's worth it. Slurp away!

First restaurant that we looked at reviews and on those comments we decided to try...what a great kittle place. Not much to look at on exterior, but tastefully decorated inside. Great staff!!! And the sushi was awesome! Definitely on our list to return to next trip to Salt Lake!!!
