Novo Sancti Petri is a resort town in the municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia, southwestern Spain. It lies along the Playa de la Barrosa to the south of the main town of Chiclana. It is known for its high number of golf courses and hotels, covering an area of about 4000 hectares. The municipality contains the largest number of hotel beds in the province of Cadiz and the Costa de la Luz and has about 20 luxury hotels which are 4 or 5 star. Notable golf courses include the 36-hole Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri, the 18-hole Club de golf Melia Sancti Petri, the 9-hole Club de Golf Campano, European Golfes Academy, Escuela de golf Practeegolf and Campo de golf Lomas de Sancti Petri. We joined our friends for lunch last Saturday. They had been once before and enjoyed it and thought we should all go. I have to say I drive by this restaurant on a daily basis and have never noticed it before. It sort of blends into its surroundings and is easy to miss. We all found many favorite dishes on the menu, but settled in dim sum, shrimp udon, tempura shrimp and a bowl of lovely ramen. Then we shared the two-for-one sushi selection. The only disappointment was the shrimp tempura. We had good service, they offer a wide selection of Asian dishes which we found enjoyable. One thing worth mentioning, however, is they do âshort pourâ their wine. Even amongst ourselves we noticed some glasses were even less than others. This is a practice which drives the check average up of course. Takes the edge off the reasonable price of the food. We will go back however as overall a very nice addition to the complement of local restaurants. I would definitely recommend it.
