Although this is a small chain, it is one of my favorite pizza restaurants. I don't do pizza often and when I do, I want it to be very good. For me Happy Joes meets that test.

We try to go to GeoJohns at least once a month. It is not so noisy and the service is great! The food is outstanding. I always order their salad and he always makes sure to satisfy me as I am rather picky! I never want cheese or onions on it so he makes sure to fix it without! Prices are good as well and the pizza is really good (according to my husband and friends)

Had lunch here after they had been open for a while. The restaurant is very quiet, Italian music, lovely river view. A fair number of lunch diners were there. We had the Ziti, which came with a very hot sauce and no meat. It was tasty but I don't think I would have it again. All entrees apparently come with soup or salad. We had salad. Average, crisp lettuce, a few pieces of cucumber.Rolls also come with, inexplicable big doughy rolls, not garlicky bread sticks like you might imagine. My lunch companion had the Chicken Parm. Huge portion, they felt the chicken had been a bit under cooked. But lots of marinara sauce heaped on top and of course the melty cheese. A large portion of spaghetti filled the rest of the plate. We were both of the opinion that the food was not good enough to warrant another visit. But---they have a very attractive bar in an adjoining room. That might be some place to try!!

Their cheese sticks are by far my favorite. Not just in Muscatine, but Nationwide. They are absolutely delicious. Super hot and cheesy, with the special side of cold marinara. Amazing! I also like to order The Pearl City Rugby Panini. So so so good! I always dip mine in their homemade ranch. If you haven’t had this. You have to check it out. I have liked every items I’ve had on their menu.

Salvatore's Ristorante

Salvatore's "trattoria" has been a staple in the downtown Muscatine area since 1985, when Reno Vitale moved here from Palermo, Sicily, the original home of pizza and pasta. In Italy, the word "trattoria" means a small, informal restaurant, often off the b

We just got back from Italy and this is the best we have in our area. The bruschetta as an appetizer was fantastic with a wonderful garlic flavor. The portobello ravioli with Alfredo sauce was excellent. The tiramisu was quite authentic and delicious. Thank you Sincerely for your review. We immensely try to keep our great Grandparents recipes as close to original as possible. The challenge we face is the continuous change in quality of products that we use to make our sauces and entrees. We hope to have you again!
