We had been to O'Mara's a few times and always liked it, but this time it was terrible. We were looking forward to a nice dinner on a Saturday night. We ordered filet mignon and shrimp which was only served for two. It said it came with asparagus. The waitress said it also came with soup or salad and another side dish. We ordered soup and baked potatoes. We each got a half cup of soup. The meal then came on one plate - a filet mignon cut in half, two small skewers with three small shrimp on each, and about a dozen very tiny spears of asparagus, enough for one person. We were given an empty plate and I was told I would have to divide it. A baked potato came on another small plate, and another small empty plate. We asked since it was billed on the menu as a dinner for two, why didn't we get two of everything served on two plates? The waitress said she made a mistake and we weren't supposed to get side dishes, but since it was her mistake, she gave us one cup of soup and one potato to share. That meant that the price was inflated because it was billed as dinner for two, but it really was dinner for one cut in half with no side dishes. The meal itself was terrible. I cut off about a quarter of my filet and saw that it was very rare and we had ordered it medium. We asked the waitress to have it cooked a little more. She brought it back and didn't know which was which. I told her that mine was in two pieces, but she didn't return two pieces. I asked her where the rest of my filet was, but she ignored me and walked away. It was still very rare and wasn't even warm, so I don't think they did anything. When I cut the baked potato for us, I picked it up in my hand and it wasn't hot. It was also undercooked. My husband mentioned that the butter hadn't melted on his potato at the end of the meal. The asparagus was so salty we couldn't eat it. The small shrimp looked like they had been grilled along with the steak, but they were so cold they tasted like they had come right out of the refrigerator. I only had a bite of everything and realized I couldn't eat it. We didn't see the waitress again until she came to clear the plates. When she did, I assumed she would say something when she picked up a meal that was basically untouched, but she didn't even notice. Later, I told my husband we would have been better off to order a regular filet mignon dinner, get the side dishes that were included, and ask for a plate to share, and could have saved a lot of money. I also wondered what the waitress would have done if I ordered soup and my husband ordered a salad, and we wanted two different side dishes. A man at the front desk asked when we were leaving if we enjoyed our meal, and my husband said it was the worst meal we ever had. We told him what was wrong, and he told us to call when the manager was in. How do I know when the manager is in, and why wasn't anyone there in charge on a Saturday night? We won't be back.

We got very nice table with open front to Berkley main street! The restaurant offers good variety for vegetarians and gluten free. But overall food contained a lot of fat and was little overcooked. Service was in hurry as restaurant was fully occupied during dream cruiser event! Would go again but for drink and snacks only.

we usually get hamburgers,which are a one and you can have potatoes frenc fried or broasted either good, but sometimes opt for fish and fries, delish, plus any drink you can think of, but we are domestic beer drinkers, service always friendly and homey. the kind of bar where you can just hang out and not feel you have to eat and run,you can watch tv ,play keno,pool,or just eat.
