Went for dinner with friends and it was excellent. there is a restaurant area which is really nice but we chose the high tables near to the bar which are great as you are more involved with the vibe. upon arrival we were greeted very well and the service continued from there.The staff are wonderful the tapas are truly amazing and at fair prices, we will certanly go back whenever we are in townThank you for the fantastic review John

My wife and I have been to this restaurant during the day and looked at the menu which looked good so we reserved a table for tonight.We ordered our drinks and some pan and aioli while looking at the menu, we chose our starters and main courses.My wife had garlic prawns with a sting to it, I had mussels in a Spicy tomato sauce both starters were completely bland nothing was garlicky or spicy big disappointment, we both had lasagne I also ordered a portion of chips, the lasagne was nearly all pasta and very little meat and with the chips that never turned up it was our first time there and the whole meal very disappointing. The staff there were very helpfull and apologetic and kept saying sorry it wasnt there fault they only take orders and bring the food to the table, the problem is in the kitchen with the chefs maybe they dont care what they are dishing up.My wife and I said we would go back again and try other dishes but if that's the same it will be the last time going there, maybe the kitchen staff are not chefs, the last word well done to the waiteres on the front of house they done a good job well done.

Not great , Thai fish Awful ( frozen shop bought , definitely not homemade , seafood platter king prawn platter served with only a sauce that tasted of salad cream 1 oil and the other margarine , 2 steak fajitas served with gone off salsa , ribs and kids nuggets ok , but wouldnât recommend and wouldnât return , most expensive meal so far out of 6 nts on holiday and by far the worst, I did mention about the gone off salsa to a guy and about the salad cream tasting sauce to be told I was wrong , take are advice donât bother ,

This review couldn't wait...we have just returned from a fabulous evening spent at Rustica. We were celebrating 40 years of married life together. The staff in Rustica ensured it was a night to remember...the staff were so very professional a special thanks to Reid you were the ultimate professional and certainly know your trade. To the Chefs our meal of fillet steaks was sublime. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert. We have only just discovered this little gem of a restaurant and we will undoubtedly return. Much as we would like to keep it a secret that unfortunately isn't possible you have to book weeks in advance, we got lucky with our table for tonight! So guys at Rustica thank you for tonight....memories made that will last a lifetimeâ¤â¤

eaten here probably 4 or 5 times. food is always excellent. menu is small, which would be okay, but sometimes half of the menu is sold out or unavailable, very annoying.service isn't always great. BUT food is great!!!

This was our first visit to Villa Martin on our last night in the area, and it was a lovely last evening. Our food was served quite quickly and was cooked to perfection. No complaints from anyone in our group of 4, drinks were ok too if a bit more expensive than down on the coast but we'd definitely return in the future.

On the recommendation of many friends, including the snobby ones!! myself and my wife opted for Sunday Lunch at âThe Portobello Kitchenâ. Weâve enjoyed Sunday Roast at other local restaurants and wanted to see if this venue matched the hype.I have to admit, it does and Iâm glad I went.Youâre greeted at the door and politely offered the option of dining inside or outside, both options are appealing with a pleasant cosy seating and ambience. I can imagine evening dining to be even better in a social fun atmosphere as the drinks flow, good food and the evening fades.The decor appears clean, more upmarket and definitely appealing. They offer a Sunday lunch of two courses or three course to suit your preference. I opted for a starter of Spicy ribs and main course of Beef with all the trimmings. My wife also opted for Beef and a sweet of cheesecake. There was no long wait, despite being reasonably busy.The meals arrived timely, hot, appealing and plentiful, more importantly it was very delicious.I dare anyone to need seconds!!This visit was definitely a winner, so Iâm looking forward to an evening visit to hopefully have a similar delightful dining experience.Iâm seriously looking forward to it.Can they keep it up?????The next visit will also be posted on TripAdvisor for all to read!!Portobello, youâve been warned!!

Was excited to stop here for our last night together. We were not greeted and once we asked if the place was open, we sat down and ordered a bottle of wine. Was served with no ice bucket, we had to request. OK not a major issue. We then ordered starters, I had the burrato - â¬10 - a lump of mozzarella with sliced tomatoes around it and a smudge of pesto on the top of the cheese. Ridiculous. My company ordered sizzling mushrooms - no sizzle and no heat. One of the mains - the chicken and mushroom sauce with mash - served cold and the chicken was dry- â¬15. We were served no bread or oil or salt and pepper either throughout. My main was sole with vegetables - a couple of sliced carrots and courgettes. So.. It seems that the menu and the chef is trying to being a la carte? But we are all left confused... It's not a la carte quality but pushing a la carte prices. It's basic food. Great surroundings but would sadly not visit again.

New owners here. Family run bar and restaurant.Bar and outside area overlooking the orange and lemon groves. Nice and cool in the warm weather. I am told the larger restaurant area will open shortly.Food was nice and service very friendly.They also make a decent gin and tonic.

After owning a villa in Algorfa since 2004, it is incredible that we only discovered Market Street Restaurant in St.Miguel in 2018 just before we left to return to the UK. Excellence all round, environment, decor friendly attentive staff and management guaranteeing a personal welcome tick all the basic boxes for a great place to eat.All that without the desired quality and quantity of food would be wasted, this is where the title of this review really comes into itâs own. The lyrics of the song âSimply the best, Better than all the restâ, could have been written for this place. We have once again enjoyed their fantastic Sunday Roast and I would challenge anyone locally to better it. This is a real gem in every sense and if you have not visited we would highly recommend you do and you will not be disappointed.u
