The Freelance has not missed a beat under its new ownership team. The food is still great, the menu is basically the same, the wait staff staff is still friendly and helpful, and it is still an intimate setting for small (four or less) groups to gather. The restaurant maybe seats 30 people and on Friday to Sunday, it can be crowded and does not accept reservations. We generally go in the middle of the week or for lunch, so getting a table is not an issue. We love the food and the service. For three people with alcohol and tip, figure on $80 a person.

Food was excellent. Reminded one of early Xavier's. Service was excellent and attentive. Seven course tasting menu included fish, foie gras, shellfish. duck, venison, sushi item plus a tasting of desserts. A varied experience. All done in accordance with the modern culinary philosophy of having the diner want more after consuming an offering.

Recently visited Ed Bradyâs fine establishment. Fell out of patronizing because of a fairly consequential fire. Premises has been not only beautifully restored but had a number of design modifications. The result is the dining room is all the more welcoming. Food was terrific as was the service. I had a filet with a nice size lobster tail. Will return with greater frequency. Slainte, Ed!
