This pub has had a complete makeover about six months ago. They've done a great job doing up the building inside and the food and service are amazing.

A group of friends visited and we eat at various places each w/end this was very poor quality we said we would not go back - The size of the Snitzel was very small embarrassing really compared to some hotels, one meal was meant to be slow cooked and was not just very tough meat and meals were loaded with alot of chips --- very average overall for the price that was chargedThe Beef Cheeks that were always popular have been taken off the menu - no reason

We hadn't been for a while as it was closed for renovations. To start with, we had some garlic bread unfortunately "micro waved" though the waitress said it was a commercial one. Fried whiting was overcooked and the salad my wife said was "unremarkable". I had the scotch fillet steak garnished with a green spinach sauteed, garlic butter and mushroom sauce on a bed of mash just medium. Well for $39, it was nearly well done , tasteless, butter was hard and the sauce gluey. Both of us were very disappointed. We were offered a free dessert but on principle said NO.

So impressed with my first visit to Recess, I wish I hadnât waited so long to try it. PLEASE DONT DELAY JUST TRY IT, you wonât be disappointed. The team were really helpful, friendly & engaging. The food served was SUPERB. Their entire menu was gluten free which is even more Superb!! Presentation, price and serving size all outstanding. The flavours were absolutely amazing. They certainly have great people working the kitchen. Our waitresses made suggestions and their recommendations were spot on. They suggested we do a couple of share plate and 1 or 2 sides and a big plate for our table of 4. First up we had the 3 cheese arancini & buttermilk friend chicken, followed by Grilled broccolini and quinoa salad, braised beef cheek ( omg!) & a side of French fries. We finished (after another suggestion) with a scrumptious banoffee pavlova that was big enough for the four of us to share. All up it was roughly $50 per head for 3 courses plus a couple of rounds of drinks.Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a fabulous review! Yeah Boy was a relaxed place to catch up with friends, the menu caters for all dietary requirements and is fresh and full of flavour. We couldnât decide what to have so the menu allowed for us all to share multiple rice bowls and pizza. The $10 cocktails were also a bonus and the desserts were all generous and very tasty. A great night out for sharing good food, a drink and catching up with friendsHi There! Pretty ordinary food that is very overpriced Staff are friendly but not as hospitable as youâd expect for this type of establishment Disappointing that a new establishment didnât make more effort to satisfy customers with the food (very ordinary indeed) Would not recommend
