We really enjoyed the menu del Dia which had five choices of starters and main courses.The food was freshly cooked and very tasty.We were the only tourists there but there were lots of Spanish locals and truck drivers (always a good sign).We will return another day as we enjoyed it so much

I booked this restaurant on behalf of my Walking group to have an end of walk menu del dia to celebrate the start of our new season. When I originally reserved it was for 12, the day prior it got to 19 and on the morning of the walk it moved to 26 people. Jesus, the proprietor and his wife handled the changes surprisingly well given that we then more or less filled their terrace. They served a very good variety of starters including Russian salad, Mediterranean Salad, Olleta (a thick lentil soup), cream of vegetable soup and paella and an equally wide selection of mains including muslo de pollo, sardinas, grilled salmon, sole and lomo de cerdo. Despite the number of people the (small) kitchen coped admirably so waiting was kept to a minimum. Desserts included Pan de Calatrava, tarte al whisky (really good!), ice cream and flan. The quality throughout was very good considering that the price was approx 10 euros per hd including a drink and bread and water. Even with coffees and extras we paid less than 12 euro per hd-exceptional

We went to this restaurant for the first time last night. We will most certainly be going again . The food was delicious and the service excellent. Well worth going a little way out of Campello to find this splendid restaurant.

When we arrived we were seen to immediately with a friendly smile and top service throughout. They checked we were happy with our food. We shared asparagus with cheese and the chicken wings. Asparagus was the white asparagus we hadnât eaten before it was smothered in cheese which for us was really tasty, the chicken wings hot and charred drizzled with sweet chilli. Both were equally lovely. For main I had ribs which were recommended and the didnât disappoint, hot smokey tasty ribs with a charred crust and too much for me to finish, this was served with a small salad and some fries. My wife had tok in the wok which is basically veg and chicken stir fry which she loved and again there was plenty. She enjoyed the prawn cracked which tasted home made and was delightful, we had a very large measure of gin and slim tonic. We have been coming here for years as we have a villa local and the place never disappoints. Service is second to none and ten food is gorgeous.

Our party of 6 arrived in the apartment block where the cafe is situated mid afternoon and we went down to get a late lunch.The sandwiches and burgers ordered were fresh but we were especially pleased with the welcome and the fact we were offered a local map and an offer of help if we needed it.My father in law was especially impressed at meeting a fellow fisherman!We returned to get tubs of ice cream when we were on the beach and on another occasion we had large ice creams late one evening.All were really nice.Would return again without hesitation.

This restaurant is near to my house, so always got passed over on my way to Alicante. But I have heard consistent good word of mouth about it, so thought I would give it a spin for lunch.What a gem. Fabulous selections of wine, a menu degustation for â¬40 which consisted of 2 Tapas, Entrada, fish course, meat course and desert. Everything was of exceptional quality, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. Add an amazing Ribera del Duero Reserva for less than â¬20 and you have me smiling like a kid.Frustrated, as I have to wait to take friends and family there next time, but want to go back tonight.
