Wer es- aus welchem Grund auch immer- manchmal ein bisschen schwer hat, in einem Restaurant ein passendes Gericht zu finden, ist hier bestens bedient.Die Bedienung ist gern bereit, auf Wünsche der Gäste einzugehen Der Koch zeigt sich flexibel, wenn es darum geht, ein Gericht zu veganisieren, Zutaten oder Beilagen abzuändern oder gar etwas ganz anderes zu kochen. Auch Hunde werden freundlich willkommen geheissen.Die Menükarte (einsehbar unter http://muehlesarnen.ch) ist vielfältig, gekocht wird mit frischen Zutaten, die möglichst aus der Region stammen.Die Mühle ist für mich ein Geheimtipp, von dem aber ruhig noch mehr Menschen wissen dürften ;-) .Wer also im Obwaldnerland unterwegs ist und mit lieben Menschen oder auch Geschäftspartnern ein ausgezeichnetes Mahl in angenehmster Atmosphäre geniessen will, ist in der Mühle bestens aufgehoben!

I've been to Switzerland many times, but this was the first time I've been to Wiesenberg and the Gummenalp restuarant. It is very popular with the locals, but not one on the list for normal visitors to Switzerland - which is a shame as it's beautiful and very family friendly.We visited on a sunny Sunday and the area was full of walkers and families on days out.The Gummenalp Restaurant has a lovely mountain top setting which offers beautiful views all round. Four of us stopped for lunch, the waitress was brilliant, very friendly and looked after her guests well without being intrusive. The service was very quick, surprising as it was busy. The food portions were very good and the food itself to a very high standard. Two of us had the lunch of the day which was pork in a cream sauce with chips and salad - it was gorgeous and the meat was extremely tender. The mixed salad I chose, was lovely, with a good selection and very fresh. The ice cream dessert I chose was amazing, coffee, chocolate and tiramisu - not normally an ice cream fan, but this was lovely. The chef came out to see all his diners, which was a nice touch. All four of our meals were excellent and the next time I visit Switzerland, this place is on my list to visit.We ate outside, but the interior of the restaurant is lovely and toilets immaculate.
