The food was okay but nothing spectacular. Tasted fresh maybe a bit expensive for a small wrap. Staff was friendly.

We went to this place after a recommendation from family (making a reservation is definately needed). These guys know how to make great food with matching wines/beers. We also learned that good olive oils can make a huge difference. Friendly staff. Cosy small place. Definately worth it’s ranking on Tripadvisor. We will be back!

Gioia Plant Based Cuisine

Gioia is a fully plant-based (vegan) restaurant in Marbella. Our food is mainly organic, gluten-free and we offer many raw food dishes as well as delicious sweet treats. Fresh juices and smoothies.

Poor service from cold and aloof waitress, no smile simply said "ready?" Food is very over priced for what it is - especially the raw dishes which are the first 3 on the mains section. Location is on a busy road with car horns being a problem here. Not a pleasant atmosphere. The only thing stopping me giving a poor review is that it is entirely plant based.Waitress also kept sneezing loudly which was also off putting. If you want plant based food go to Manuka, you will not be disappointed and it is on Beach front too.Hi there!I'm really sorry to hear that the service wasn't up to standard during your visit. Unfortunately our waitress (who normally gets beautiful reviews) had a bad flare-up of seasonal allergy - causing low energy and sneezing - that day. Again, our sincerest apologies that this disrupted your meal.In regards to the traffic noise there is unfortunately not much we can do about that. Regarding the pricing we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. We carefully select the best quality and organic ingredients we can find and all food is made in house which is reflected in the prices. The raw dishes we have are very popular with our customers but of course everyone has different preferences. Fantastic to hear that you've found a restaurant better suiting your taste and perhaps Manuka appreciates that you use your reviews of other restaurants to spread the word. Thanks for supporting the plant-based concept!Kindly,Patricia

My wife and I had a lovely meal here tonight. All your favourite Belgian beers and some interesting food choices including mussels in a variety of broths. I had a fantastic beef stew and my wife had mussels - all on a terrace with great views of the pueblo. It’s great quality and worth the money although if you want cheap go elsewhere. The owners are very courteous and make you feel welcome . Would go again.

The terrific reviews that this place gets are 100% justified. A small restaurant but with an additional terrace so booking is essential. Both the food and service are outstanding. A brilliant night out down to Maria's cooking and super friendly service from the two Antonio's. Advice on food and drink is spot on and you instantly feel welcomed and relaxed. They serve a superb cheesecake as a free dessert along with tuition ice cream that finished off your meal in style. We had pil pil cod and pork cheeks as mains and they were excellent. Don't miss this place if you want a special meal in Ronda!

I understand why this place is number 1 in Ronda: the service is impeccable, very quick and courteous, and charisma of José Antonio makes this restaurant really worth visiting although it's a rather long walk from the historical center of Ronda. But in spite of this I don't think that I would become a regular customer here. There are several issues that I didn't like: the place is to small, there is too little space between tables, the chairs are too hard, without any upholstery. Maybe it's part of the design and general concept as this place is positioned as a 'tavern'. But I prefer something more comfortable. As for the food - unfortunately main part of the menu was not to our taste. I don't like sushi and seviche (as long as carpaccio - nothing raw, please) and hamburgers. Besides both me and my mother are allergic to red tuna. So we've taken ox-tail starter and lamb as a main dish. Both were fine, but the lamb was a little too dry to my taste. We always take tea after meal and I was very disappointed to see a plain Lipton served in a place known for its cuisine. Other disappointment was when it occurred that several desserts mentioned in the menu were not available, including the one with pears that I wanted to try. For a Saturday night and a place where you need to make a reservation in advance to get a table it's a huge minus. How can there be lack of desserts if you know that the place is fully booked? Yes, the chestnuts puree was quite nice but little disappointment was still there.Hello, good day, thanks for your words to our food and service. To say that I don't understand your words about sushi or ceviche, we don't have those dishes here. Decoration is something that some people like more and others less. Next year we will launch a great restaurant in the center and well, it will be bigger and more comfortable now that we are in this one that we are over 30 years old and we do not force anyone to stay. More than 2500 people rate us as excellent in more than 5 gastronomic guides for something that will be. As for tea and dessert, tell him that tea is a normal tea of good quality and that we no longer have a great demand for tea, we are not asked for more, and dessert will explain it to him but I see he did not understand, we have 4 desserts, only 1 that is summer season was missing, and summer is over. How can we have it in autumn if it is seasonal? Thanks again for your visit. Good trip. Receive a cordial greeting.TROPICANA
