It is out of town, takes no advance booking (come early or be prepared to queue) and remains your best option in Strasbourg for hearty traditional alsacian food.Immensely popular with locals, the restaurant is very atmospheric and well deserve its praises. The "tarte flambée" is a specialty for which they are widely recognised to be the best.Don't miss this, you will not regret it.

Me and my husband had an amazing dining experience in this cozy nicely decorated Alsacian restaurant. Food was really good, portions big sized and the quality and flavor amazing. Service was really good as well, the owners serve you with a nice smile on their faces and made a big effort to explain the menu items in a slow french so that we could understand. They even gave us a complimentary glass of cava for desert. We loved it!

We were here during the week and the restaurant was crowded. Service was really cared and smart. We eat galette, sparips, strudel aux pommes and tarte au fomage blanche. We drunk pinot and gewurztraminer. All was perfect.

This is a very busy restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike! Not open weekends, therefore very busy during the week.Prices are reasonable, food is excellent and plentiful! Large menu to chose from offering plenty of local cuisine- all of it delicious!Great atmosphere, Philippe, the owner is charming and great to have a drink and a chat with. Dined here two nights in a row and were never disappointed. Inside table available, but my preference goes for a courtyard table.Reservations are a must.

We visited this restaurant and were the only people eating there . We had the set 26 Euro meal consisting of delicious smoked salmon and capers followed by veal on the bone with morels and one of the best sauces I have had in years . Recommended

I've visited this restaurant many times as we used to live very close to it. The food is excellent, service depends on the day (heard friends who left after not being acknowledged for half an hour on a busy night), prices are a bit high. Deserves to be tried, as the food is really amazing
