I am a native English speaker and fluent in French in which I've conducted business for 35 years.I could understand neither our trainees English nor his French.Only 2 courses were worth mentioning.Glassware was dirty.I absolutely do NOT recommend this restaurant. Dreadful, dreadfully expensive for value. Stay away until they have trained staff and then don't expect any miracles with the food.

Made reservations in advance. A must. This is a small space. Not packed together seating as some smaller places but close spaced. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Both waiters spoke English . We were very pleased with our experience. We are well traveled and we are open to new experiences. So I tried one of their specialties the tripe sausages. I have had trip before but not sausages. Plenty big serving. Sauce was good and the flavor was, not strong. Many restaurants here in Lyon serve this. For me, it had a fragrance that was not appealing to me. I ate most of it and was fine with my choice. The waiter asked me if I knew what this was and if I really wanted it. Well done on his part. My wife had a pike with a sauce and a side of an amazing broccoli purée. We will try to make at home. But my starter was a duck confit in a cream sauce. Excellent. Never have had this preparation. My wife had the the pate en croute.Excellent. Desert I had "fresh" cheese, which was served cold in a small bowl. Was creamy. Very good, again different. Why you travel!!

Having been here once before and been very impressed this visit was a bit disappointing. Despite the drop in temperature - this was back in mid-September - the proprietor basically insisted we sit outside on the terrace, which isn't especially agreeable anyway slap bang as it is to a main road. The glass of Vacqueyras blanc was a hefty and enjoyable mouthful but pretty much gulped down just so we could escape to the warmth of a nearby restaurant. I know that this proprietor knows his wines very well; let us leave it at that.

The cured meat platter, the main and the wine were great. Great environment and atmosphere. Amazing service by very nice and polite employees! We had an 18mins walk to find this restaurant after having a bad day with a last minute cancellation of an easyJet flight spending 6 hours at the Lyon airport. But the mood was 100% reset after spending the evening at this place!

Booked this fabulous restaurant for 8 people. From the very start they were fantastic about answering my emails. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented, tasted wonderful. The wine that they recommended was wonderful too. The service was excellent. Polite yet cheery with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal, meal with friends, or just a great place to have wonderful food. When I go back to Lyon as I loved this City I will return to this restaurant.

I went to the Tiroir for a business lunch with colleagues. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff very friendly. For started we had Tomato and mozzarella with strawberries, that had a very nice and fruits taste. A very small portion though, that could have been a little bit more. For the main dish I took the salmon gravlax, which was very tasty and highly recommend!! :-) I treated myself even to a Café Gourmand, a selection of a few little desserts.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a table at Saisons restaurant for lunch . The whole experience was a delight, from the chateau, to the view of the garden, the wine, very attentive young staff and of course the food. At first we did not want to spoil the creative presentation however the aroma was too inviting . A special lunch that left our tastbuds dancing !

Booking this Bouchon for a special last night in Lyon. We were not disappointed. We chose the âmenu la memoire du goutâ - starter, main and desert. After an enjoyable glass of champagne our chosen entrees of the foils gras with fruit chutney came fairly soon. Wow - delicious, we both muttered. We also both chose the filet de BÅuf which was cooked perfectly to our specifications. The seasonal vegetables accompanying were also perfect, complimenting the beef.My husband had the mixed sorbet and I the strawberry tart - a perfect finish to a wonderful night - oh, and a great bottle of Bordeaux to boot !
