When travelling Europe, we try to find a top quality restaurant off the beaten track for a fine dining experience. Dinner at La Mécanique des Freres Bonano ticked all the boxes. The beautifully decorated restaurant is run by the Bonano brothers in a gorgeous âtinyâ village in Colombières-sur-Orb. Locating the restaurant would be difficult without some instructions. The Bonano cream colour car is parked on the main road and this is where you turn down a steep driveway to the picturesque restaurant and setting. The fabulous outdoor setting would be ideal for summertime lunches and a more relaxed dining experience. The courses were delicate, decadent, delicious and divine. The menu is influenced by the produce of the season and there is an abundance of quality fresh produce and wines from the Languedoc region. I hope you enjoy the Bonano experience as much as we did. We have now had both lunch and, since last night, dinner at this charming restaurant. The service can't be beat, the ambiance is lovely, and the food is delicious. We found the portions to be very generous, the ingredients local and fresh, and meats and fish perfectly grilled to order. In addition to the menu, three starters and three homemade desserts are offered daily. I had the Caesar salad starter and the lemon meringue tart; both were amazing. Whether you order a la carte or from one of the set menus, the value for money is excellent! At this time of year, we prefer the air conditioned interior but there's also a small terrace overlooking the outdoor grill.

This pub has a reasonable selection of food on offer and everything we ordered was really nice. The set menu is also excellent value for money. The back terrace also has a lovely atmosphere for relaxing on a warm summer evening.

Petit établissement situé dans une rue ombragée, derrière la boulangerie de Vivien et Rebecca. Accueil chaleureux de Coco (la gérante) excellents bagel et excellentes pâtisseries. Apparemment, dâici peu, il y aura aussi des crêpes . Un conseil : Allez y sans hésiter avec le sourire Vous ne serez pas déçu.

Visited on a tuesday evening. Had a warm goats cheese salad to start, consisted of a whole lettuce and 3 tiny burnt pieces of toast with tiny slices of goats cheese on it. Main of gambas were very overcooked no finger bowl either. Seemed pricey too for poor food from a caravan

Having read the (mostly positive) reviews on TripAdvisor we visited Le chat noir for dinner, 2 adults 5 kidsService was terribly slow and we waited over an hour for our drinks to arrive ( this was only after chasing them twice)Food menu is very British so kids were happy, adults less so. 3 or 4 of the dishes were not available/sold out. At 7pm on a Saturday evening I thought this was poor as the place was not busy. Food when we eventually received it was very poor, especially the veggie 'burger' which was an inedible slop served in a bun. Remainder of the food v average. Rice was more like rice pudding. Meat burgers had awful blue cheese sauce. The only satisfied customer was youngest son who had English breakfastThe only plus would be location which is very niceWould not recommend

sous de belles voûtes, accueil d'un charmant monsieur. C'est très simple, on vous sert de bons produits , sans se casser la tête. Une assiette de charcuterie du pays, ou un sauté de porc, de bonnes frites et deux parts de tarte, très honorable.Prix idem.

The perfect place to spend a sultry August evening with friends for dinner. The view is simply amazing as is the food. This art gallery cum restaurant has perfected the art of the simple; they only offer a few choices which means they've perfected all of those choices. The asparagus starters were perfection and the sauce they've served with it, heavenly. My steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce again was sublime. (I would happily fill up on bread and this sauce alone!). The fish was masterly cooked and served with mashed potatoes that God himself couldn't make any better. The citron tart desert was one of the best I've ever had.I simply cannot comprehend why this is not the # 1 restaurant in this area?!? I simply cannot recommend this highly enough. Note though, it's cash or cheque only, no bank cards.Thank you Jacques.We are happy you enjoyed your time with us.Hope we will see you next seasonBeautiful day

A fabulous intimate restaurant with a beautiful setting overlooking the old town and the Pont Diable. Excellent covered outside dining area for the hot lunchtimes. Brilliant 3 course set menu at lunch for 24e per person. Each course outstanding. cant recommend enough. Very friendly staff and owners. They have a chambre d'hotes across the road for anyone looking to stay in the area. A gem and going again tonight.

Very Good Experience. The setting is in a very tiny village outside of Olargues set deep in the mountains. There is very ample inside and outside space in this restaurant. We were only 1 of 2 couples there for lunch on a Saturday in early July. The saturday menu is pretty limited but what was offered was very nicely prepared and beautifully presented. We had Shrimp and Scallop in a Thai inspired sauce. Quite pleasant. We sampled appetizers of Escargot presented in a mini dutch oven and Foie Gras. Both were excellent and the portions generous. Service was quite good, typically non rushed. I suppose if the restuarant were to have had a more normal crowd in it the atmosphere would have been more lively. As it was though, it was a beautiful day and it was an enjoyable experience. I would rate the value at this restaurant as a little less than good value. It was pretty pricy for a lunch at 110 for 4.
