Visited this restaurant to experience a true French restaurant based the TA reviews.Exceptional food, wonderfully presented. Also great value at 28 euros for a three course meal!Kids menu is limited, no burgers or pizza here! FRENCH restaurant but with a vegetarian starter and main course (also labelled as veggie which is rare and helpful as the menu is hard to read).Very sleepy town when we visited one evening but the restaurant was packed, not with tourists but locals which is always a good sign.We needed to download Google translate as the menu is all in French and the waiters speak very little English. Great place for quality food and to people watch.

Staff were just great - attentive,engaging and worked their socks off to give really good service. The sort of French food that I love:with lots of tasty mains, traditional tarts and little tasters to keep you occupied whilst you wait ( which wasn`t long anyway) and good wine that you can afford ( 11 euros upwards).

if the food was exceptional i wouldnt mind the wait , but it was not.Moules were ok but 2 pasta dishes were awful due to the heavy handed use of salt in the sauce,service was snail paced so we didnt bother with desserts.give this place a miss !

First visit in Camette started nice. The young server explained the menu in great extent .... probably part of the problem. The food was good, but nothing out of the usual. Everything took very long. We asked the server several times to bring something.... it took always > 15 minutes.... finally we waited 30 minutes for the bill. No word of excuse. .... will not come back, will recommend not to go there.

This place looks good food just about average if you compare it to Mc Donaldsthe service was terrible no Air Con it was switched off one girl waitress for 12 tabels 2 couples left after wating 30 min to be served

We stayed at residence Calliope for a week which is linked to this hotel restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner everyday at the restaurant during our stay as we didn't want to shop and cook. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the location as the restaurant has full view on the lake so you can enjoy the scenery whilst eating. It is right on the edge of the water. It was very peaceful and pleasant. The lake was fantastic as it has sand beaches and there are a number of facilities to rent boats, pedalos, bicycles and so on. It offers safe bathing for children including swimming with little fish! I can't recommend enough this part of France if you like peace and tranquility.Thank you very much for your appréciation on Tripadvisor. I am happy to know you have had good time in our house. We visited in late September on a really hot day- great weather for eating outside. The restaurant was extremely busy but service was good. It's a great location with a fantastic terrace above the golf course surrounded by trees. Food is very good - 2/3 courses fixed price or a la carte. We had the goats cheese salad and veal entrecôte followed by the dessert selection- all good and accompanied by cold beer and wine.The restaurant is up a side road from the lake but easy access both ways including from the lakeside cycle path. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and not just for golfersThanks Patrick for taking time to leave your view about our restaurant. It was a pleasure serving you especially that nice cold beer well deserved after your cycle trip. Glad you enjoyed your meal as well and all the team hope to see you soon.Thanks again!

Looked good on arrival, service fine, but really disappointing quality of food. My wife and I had the Thai style prawn noodles, one daughter the Bavette Grille and our other daughter the Menu Enfant - fish and chips, and none of us finished. The noodle dish was just a heap of overcooked noodles and Chinese mushrooms with 3 large grilled prawns laid on top, while the beef in the bavette was tough, chewy and flavourless. Sorry, but that just wasn't good enough.

After 24 hours of being sick the steak tartare was the worse I've tasted and seen( I had only a few forkfuls ) We arrived at the time we reserved , no one greeted us but we waited after nearly 15 mins the waitress who had been ignoring us finally made eye contact and asked us if we had a reservation and under what name.When we phoned they had said they would try and put us outside but when she finally noticed us she said we could sit inside shame that she didn't say that when we arrived as my boyfriend is a firefighter and had to get up early and we had small children with us.We finally ate over 1 hour later and they forgot things and my food was off.We used this resto for years and always bring family and friends, it's a shame they food and service was awful.Sometimes saying sorry and offering a free drink makes up for mistakes I would say don't risk it !
