Staff were just great - attentive,engaging and worked their socks off to give really good service. The sort of French food that I love:with lots of tasty mains, traditional tarts and little tasters to keep you occupied whilst you wait ( which wasn`t long anyway) and good wine that you can afford ( 11 euros upwards).

At the central place of Biscarrosse Plage a nice restaurant. They are very happy with their high rating from TripAdvisor, but I think this rating is too high and they seem to be too satisfied with themselves. The restaurant is OK, there is little variation in the meals they offer, but it is still OK for a nice evening.

if the food was exceptional i wouldnt mind the wait , but it was not.
Moules were ok
but 2 pasta dishes were awful due to the heavy handed use of salt in the sauce,
service was snail paced so we didnt bother with desserts.
give this place a miss !

No airs and graces this place. Just good food, nicely cooked, large helpings, prompt but relaxed service all made for a good, enjoyable evening. It was just as well that we had called in that afternoon to book for the meal, the place was nearly full at 8pm and some were turned away. There was a free choice menu as well as set meals at different prices; the salmon (two steaks!) was cooked perfectly, the escalope also with a pile of fries. Good quality, good service, this is a restaurant that knows what its customers want and gives it to them with a smile.

Yes, tooooooooo slow
Very nice outdoor Terrace but that's the best this restaurant has to offer.
Sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming over and almost left as there are many other restaurants in the area. As we were ready to leave, a kind waiter came over and took our drink and food order. Ten min later drinks arrived. Very tiny wine menu with nothing to knock your socks off. Our dinner took forever to come as did other table food. It was bordering on ridiculous for a restaurant whose menu was not at all extensive. The wait staff did not seem at all concerned about the service or even dialed into it. Seems like the 2 gal servers were working at their own pace; slow. Food was fair at best.

Good restaurant. Went in for lunch (my wife and I and our two young kids). We were given a nice table in a quieter part of the restaurant. Service was very good, and they were as helpful as possible particularly around options for the children. The food was very nice (a mix of steak, fish and pasta across the group). Highly recommend.

An interesting meal - each dish contained more components than you would expect, it was certainly not 'same old same old'. Service was swift and friendly despite the place being full by the time we left. All in all an unexpectedly good experience.

7 of us turned up on spec. Staff were helpful and pleasant. They were eager to put tables together to accomodate the 7 of us inside
The place looked like it was made visiting direct from the beach, relaxed, shabby sheek, personally not impressed.
I took a martini as an aperitif, this was not worth the effort, 1/2 mouthful and it was gone, not worth the money.
I took the sea bass du jour as a main. Lovely could not fault it, best bit of the evening for me. The other mains arrived at different times, so of us were halk finished as others started.
2 bottles of water were put on the table, tried one glass that was enough, tap water, the other people thought the same. Could do better "L Archipel" Tap water................... really
For desert I took the 3 scoop ice cream, not bad but nothing special, will give it a miss if I go here again.
Not worth the number 2 spot on trip advisor in my opinion.
