About 15 years ago while summer traveling with my kids in Wisconsin, we stumbled upon an interesting restaurant called Culver's ButterBurger. Children, I LOVED seeing those happy faces as they were devouring ButterBurgers! And the Wisconsin Cheese Curds! And Frozen Custard delights! I had a huge happy face, too!We were hooked! I believe we dined at two or three more locations before heading home, southward bound towards Florida, the land of NO CULVER'S!!!Present time, imagine our cheerful chats when I told my now young adult kids Culver's was coming to our area! That's a mouthful in so many ways! Now living in Brooksville, I was eagerly awaiting Culver's arrival at my doorstep. And now, the wait is OVER!Culver's restaurant designs are bright and airy with clean lines. A lot of thought has gone into every nook and granny. Whether eating inside or outside(which right now is a no-go in Florida's 100 degree solar sear)..I love hearing a cheerful greeting 'Welcome to Culver's!' upon entering the a/c'd retreat...sure makes ya feel good. My first visit to this new location, the Wonderful Miss Emily took my order. She answered a few questions as I settled on the North Atlantic Cod Filet Basket. I know what you're probably thinking. This guy RAVES about the ButterBurger then ends up ordering fish? Yeah, well let me explain.I KNOW how awesome Culver's ButterBurgers are. But, I love a good fish sandwich, too. I've had it with other fast food fish, 'their' fish sandwiches are 'floundering' and 'crappie' now. So I was testing the 'waters' by ordering the Culver's fish filet. And this filet WINS, FINS DOWN!My Cod filet sandwich was served to me HOT, with a crunchy crispy outside and beautiful white flaky inside. It looked like an actual filet! A nice sized piece of thick fish. Not something that was pressed out of a factory fish stamping machine. And the tartar sauce, even though it was in a single serve container, tasted pretty good. I noticed it was Culver's and not a food provisioned generic item. Instead of fries, I chose Onion Rings. They were delicious, nice oniony taste and plenty of them.Hometown hospitality and Great food! For me, there's no reason to McBK any more! Tell them John & The Kids sent ya!

We were hungry but didn't want anything too heavy so we stopped at Subway and picked up a few sandwiches to take back to my Dad's with us. Got a few 12" subs loaded with lots of condiments on them, had the cheese melted and a few bags of chips, a few drinks and off we went. Subway has come a long way. Bread was good, cold cuts & cheese great and everything just plain satisfying.
America's favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee, espresso, breakfast sandwiches and donuts. Stop by or order ahead with the Dunkin' App.
We picked up coffee through the drive thru on the way out of town. Service was fast and accurate. This location is right off the highway and easy to get to from the traffic light. It is right next to the waffle house.

Big money for chicken ! Way to much breaking and way to little chicken. The wait is real long and no one is in a hurry go to publics and get the fried chicken and save over half!
For Papa John's Pizza in Brooksville, FL, the secret to success is much like the secret to making a better pizza - the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Whether it's our signature sauce, toppings, our original fresh dough, or even the box
We ordered the meat lovers pizza, garlic wings, and a chocolate chip cookie pie. The delivery was fast, everything was made well and it was hot and cooked well. The flavors on the pizza with 5 types of meat were exceptionally bland and without much flavor at all. The wings were better but still lacked pizazz. The chocolate chip cookie pie was nice and warm but still did not create a wow factor. We ordered garlic butter dipping sauce which had a strong margarine taste, I don't buy margarine, ever, because I don't like it. We usually order from Hungry Howies but as this was a late night delivery, they had already closed and Papa Johns was still open. So, I guess I shouldn't complain as they brought me hot food, quickly, rather late at night, which is always awesome. I loved Papa Johns in the past, maybe I ordered the wrong thing, maybe I've gotten pickier about food or maybe something has changed with the quality of the ingredients that this particular restaurant uses. That's all it really comes down to. Otherwise, they had it all going on for them.
