Popular "Mom & Pop" restaurant, with military décor, a place where veterans are always welcome. Food is tasty, and cooked to order, offering a large breakfast & lunch menu, with reasonable prices. Staff are friendly, and will make you feel at home. Booths & tables,and plenty of parking. Hope this helps with your first visit.

First of all, the employees at this Waffle House were the most friendly and cheerful of any Waffle House we have ever been to. Unfortunately that does not help to overlook our breakfast disaster on Thanksgiving Day. We arrived early and there were only a couple other tables seated so the problems can't be blamed on the holiday being understaffed or swamped with orders all at once.Our order was that difficult either. I ordered soft poached eggs, large hash browns and soft bacon. My husband ordered soft poached eggs, grits and hash browns.Well our server brought out my bacon and my husband's grits. Nothing else came. So both got cold but when I decided to at least eat the bacon it was overcooked and crispy. No our server had the bacon remade and heated up the grits in microwave.Again we sat there with bacon and grits but nothing else until finally the poached eggs came out.......overcooked. So back they went. I ate the bacon, at least soft this time, but I husband's grits sat there getting cold again as he likes to mix the poached eggs into the grits.Took forever to get the next order of poached eggs. This time they were slightly under cooked as some of the egg white was still raw but we ate them anyway. My hash browns were a regular size order, not large as I requested.So if everything came right the first time, it would have been an OK breakfast. The cook obviously doesn't know how to prepare poached eggs so order them another way to avoid the hassles we had.On top of our problems, we heard other complaints from tables around us regarding their orders not being right or cooked as requested.

Great home town feel and good down to earth food. A place where staff knows your name. As of 6/19/18, anxiously anticipating the reopening after the remodel following a fire. Can't wait for them to be back up and running! Awesome burgers and home-cooked food; breakfasts, sandwiches and wraps, and mouth-watering specials.
