Naumburg (German pronunciation: [ˈnaʊmbʊɐ̯k]) is a town in (and the administrative capital of) the district Burgenlandkreis, in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It has a population of around 33,000.The city is part of the World Heritage nomination Naumburg Cathedral and the High Medieval Cultural Landscape of the Rivers Saale and Unstrut. This nomination is representative for the processes that shaped the continent during the High Middle Ages between 1000 and 1300: Christianization, the so-called “Landesausbau” and the dynamics of cultural exchange and transfer characteristic for this very period.

Sehr gutes, gehobenes Restaurant, in dem man sich in gepflegter Umgebung verwöhnen lassen kann. Die Küche ist auf die sächsischen Spezialitäten und gute deutsche Küche eingerichtet. Die Speisen sind reichlich und schmackhaft, der Service hervorragend.

a wonderful, historic location (it is a medieval castle) surmounting a hill over a river, best view ever. The food and drinks are excellent and a superb atmosphere. Very good service and the personal is very attentive, friendly and uttermost professional. The new manager (Baron Thiemo v. Creytz) came to say hello and showed us all the beautiful historical banqueting rooms. A great weekend there.

I was at the restaurant for a meal on my own. I had the Hasen Terrine and a vegetarian stew with potatoes, squash and wild mushrooms. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was really interesting. They have kept the old fireplace (the Schmiede) where they would forge things. The waiter had to revive the fire a few times, pulling on various things and pumping things. That was quite nice!

Ein eigener kleiner Parkplatz, das Büffet ist gepflegt, appetitlich-frische Rohkost, mehrere warme Gerichte, für 6â¬95 stammt das Fleisch aus der untersten Schublade, macht aber nichts: rundherum schwimmt viel Gemüse in den leckeren SoÃen sodass ein angenehmes vegetarisches Essen möglich ist. Zusammen mit einem halben schön kühlen König Ludwig WeiÃen keine 10 ⬠: ist doch was.

Wir nutzten die Gelegenheit vor dem Bistro zu sitzen. Leider waren an diesen Tag nur 2 Damen zur Bedienung Anwesend. Wobei wohl eine die Speisen zubereitete. Deshalb mussten wir über 20 Minuten warten, bis wir bestellen durften. Das Essen kam dann relativ zügig nach der Produktion. Ich mache natürlich den Damen keinen Vorwurf. Sie taten ihr bestes. Nur mitten in einer von Touristen genutzten Strasse ist das etwas Zuwenig Personal. Das Essen war gut. Die Preise durchschnittlich. Kurz vor Ablauf des Parktickets waren wir dann doch noch fertig.
