Let’s start with the positives. The food is amazing! The cooking is to a very high standard and, some dishes at Michelin-star level, with great presentation and some wonderfully creative cooking. For this standard of cooking the prices are reasonable. The chef, Albert Guzman, seems a thoroughly nice man, who manages to find the time to speak with his guests, which is really appreciated. However, the quality of the food is not matched by the quality of the setting and the standard of the service. The restaurant sits on the ground floor of an apartment holiday block with 6 or 7 floors above set back from and with no view of the beach. The outside tables were plastic and it was very hot. The outside lights were too bright. Inside it was cooler, but overly light and soulless – awful. The wine selection was disappointing too with odd choices that did not complement the food and no apparent expertise in helping us choose. This talented young chef deserves a better location and front of house support to match his undoubted skills.

Tried the hot stone beef chop, more than enough food for 4 people and only €42.00 including patatas fritas. A really interactive family dining experience. Wine very reasonable and very nice. Beautiful scenery overlooking the sea and port, staff very friendly and made a table for us even though they were very busy. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Vinaros.Highly recommended.

Fabulous outside evening dinner on Saturday night with friends near the bustling promenade and marina. Very friendly knowledgable attentive waiting staff who worked with us on our broken spanish and their broken english. We ordered a mix of starters including their pride of local jamon which they cut to order at the adjacent jamon station. The flavours were delicious. The Andalusian calamari was beautifully cooked with each piece being al dente soft captured in a light crisp coating. However the star of the show were the fillet steaks cooked perfectly and oozing with succulence accompanied with a smooth balanced Protos from Ribera del Duero....no space for postre!!!Gracias por su calificación y reseña. Todas las opiniones nos ayudan a evolucionar y mejorar en nuestro servicio.

Strange position- in a middle of nowhere... for michelin starred resto is good but not too good... something worthy to stop there for lunch when u r travelling by, but something not too worthy to drive 2 hours from barcelona just to dine. Decor is quite minimalistic, food as well, pumkin soup is very good though. Assuming, this one is something more average than posh, if u r a fussy customer, better choose closer option

This is a small restaurant so I rang and reserved a table for lunch. The menu for this Saturday in March cost 12.50€ and boy was it good!We were brought some olives with our drinks and offered a good selection for each plate. We chose mussels and calamari romana, an excellent choice. Our second plate was fideua and calderosa, both were so full of flavour and a generous amount of seafood and galeres.Dessert was a delicious crema Catalans and profiteroles. All of this served by friendly attentive staff. Will return again and again for food such as this.

We have just had a delicious lunch of fish tapas dishes here. Mejillones marinera were the best mussels I have ever had. Cooked in a slightly herby, thickened jus which was perfect to mop up with crust bread. Bunulos bacalao, cod fritters, were light as a feather and fried boqueron equally delicious. Washed down with a local vermouth and a beer and followed by an almond flan to share and coffee. Sitting outside in the sun watching the world go by in this delightful sleepy fishing harbour made a perfect lunch stop. Cristina, the owner was so lovely and friendly I just wish I had better Spanish or Catalan to chat to her properly about the yummy food. Saw several paellas and rice broth dishes come out of the kitchen and they looked wonderful too. May return before we leave to try one. Absolutely top marks.

The "Menu Turistic" was advertised on a board outside at €20 per person. We hadn't booked but there was availability for a late lunch in their outside pavilion-type room with sea views. We started with a large green salad to share, served with the lightest toasted bread I've ever tasted and aioli, followed by hot steamed mussels, a seafood paella, desserts of crema catalana and "flan". Wine was included - the white, in particular, was delicious - and coffees were too.We only had two minor gripes;1. The paella arrived and was placed next to our table before we'd finished eating the mussels.2. As the menu was advertised at €20 and everything we had was included we were expecting the bill to be €40 for two but it was €44. IVA (tax) of 10% was added. As this is not an optional charge, why advertise it as a €20 menu when it costs €22? The meal was worth the higher price, but this practice is just irritating and unnecessary. Then when we paid by credit card the price was converted from euros to GBPs without consulting us. Not surprisingly the restaurant's bank converts at an unfavourable rate plus a commission charge, which my credit card wouldn't have done. Why do some restaurants do this without asking the customer if they want the bill converted to another currency? In the end the meal for two advertised at €40 costed €46, which wasn't what we expected.I have given this restaurant 5 stars based on the food and service (other than the mistimed paella) alone. Thanks for your evaluation, it helps us improve day by day. For our part we always charge in the currency that the client tells us. Bank commissions suffered a lot.

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner in the restaurant. There is a menu of 40€ with 5 courses, dessert and drink included but when we asked for that they told us it would be probably too much for dinner and that is more appropiate for lunch. We had the feeling they were prefering that we would not make the this 40€ menu so we chose some starters for sharing. We heard that some dishes out of the menu (such as oysters) were offered to other table but not to us, so we asked if they had but the maître did not apologize. The food was very good but we had this feeling (as we had in other places around the world) that for being a young couple we don't receive the same treatment as couples in older age, which is a big mistake because young couples are potential customers for many years and because all customers must be treat the same.We like to deal with kindness to all our customers, regardless of age. The advice we offer are always to enhance the experience in our restaurant. We always look forward to your suggestions. Thank you for your visit and your opinion.
