We went for lunch today based on its favorable reviews.Ordered a whole Nagel fish baked in salt. It is a native Red Sea fish that was very light and fresh. The restaurant is more like a beach restaurant , we had to walk a long way to reach Marina.Price are the same like the fish restaurant in Movenpick ,the manager tried to satisfy us as we told him that we expected much lower prices, we also complained to him about the flies .Dear Sir, Thank you for your visit to El Bahr, we are glad that you enjoyed our salt oven-baked Nagel, our signature dish!We are sorry to hear that you walked a long distance to reach us. El Bahr, is one of the few restaurants in El Gouna, directly on the beach, cozily snuggled between kite stations and Mangrove protected areas. Though, one can enjoy the walk on the beach from the Marina to El Bahr, the shortest way to reach us is by Tuktuk or by car. Unfortunately, El Bahr didnât seem to meet your expectations regarding prices. Let me assure you that our seafood selections are top choice, carefully selected for their freshness and high quality, for the pleasure of our esteemed guests. To guarantee such quality and freshness, our prices are fluctuating according to season. Daily market prices are written on the blackboard, above the fish and seafood display, in order to give our guests the opportunity to check it, while selecting their âcatch of the dayâ. I had a great meal here with a friend, one of my new favourite restaurants in El Gouna. The staff were super friendly and attentive (really good for Egypt!) and the fish was beautifully cooked and fresh.Can recommend the large grilled prawns and octopus. Enjoy!

While the ambience (view, setting, music) in The Smokery is great, their cuisine is surpassed by many other restaurants in Gouna. That is not to say anything they served us (salmon tower as appetizer, Thai Poulet for my wife, entercote for me) was substandard, but several little touches that make a big difference were missing. For example, the salmon cubes were missing the usual thin slice of lemon and sprig of dill. The service is excellent though.

Hydra Sea Food Restaurant is located on the first floor, its balcony terrace overlooking Tamr Henna square every time of the day. Hydra is a fair seafood choice for lunch and dinner if you havenât set your standards to Guilt-Millau. In fact, Hydra are like so many other coastal and holiday resort seafood restaurants. Copy & paste menu but actually, you almost canât go wrong with the laid-back ambience.The staff are ok and do not hesitate to evaluate the menu with you to pick the right dish. We stop at 3 corner but can get a pass for a free meal here. We got in a taxi over here and the driver said don't waste your money stay here the food is rotten. God he was right.First this unit is dated. It's very cold and staff not interested until we went into the restaurant. I realised why we don't like family hotels. In the food hall it's like going to Butlins. Children rushing and pushing people away. Plates were being heaped with food , played with , then off for more. Parents just getting on eating too excess.Three corners is much more genteel. Manners are seen and people try food then return for more.If your free of children go to three corner not here.

I went here with my husband for a meal on his birthday. The restaurant is in a really nice location near a lagoon. We were warmly greeted and promptly shown to a table and given our menus. Our drinks arrived quickly and were nice and cold. We ordered the cold Meze for starters which was recommended by the waitress. My husband had the burger and I had the chicken shish tawook. Both our meals were absolutely delicious. In fact my husband said it was the best burger he has had for a long time. Both meals came with a very generous portion of homemade chips which made a nice change from the French fries you normally get at restaurants. The prices are very reasonable especially for El Gouna. All the staff at this restaurant are lovely and very friendly and we will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed our dinner which consisted of bbq style chicken and a mixed meat platter. Service was very friendly, delivered by Younis, our waiter for the evening :) Also received complimentary desserts which were very tasty (would not have ordered them on our own since we were quite full already, but since the desserts were so yummy we finished them nevertheless). Props to chef Elmasry!
