Reviewed By Sunshine496177Its a really nice hotel with amazing hospitality. Staff are very very helpful. Breakfast is rich and generous, food is great. Rooms are comfortable and with balcony view just on Pyramids and Spinx, first row show, you can’t get any nearer. And at the evening you can enjoy free light and sound show for free and at your own table, while having delicious meal. And all the staff really cares for all guests well-being, it felt like being part of family. Warmly recommend!

Reviewed By StriksyI decided I would never publish a bad review. I’d just rather choose to NOT review than give a bad review! However, this place really deserves this review, as I would definitely NOT reccomend this to anyone. On our second day, someone stole my son’s phone and some money from our locked room. Went to the reception to report it, few hours later I was called by the owner to be informed that they reviewed the security footage showing that I left my room with a phone in my hand. I stressed out that my son’s iphone was stolen, and they said they would check the footage. At 22:30 I got a call on the room phone, saying the staff was in front of the room. I opened, they put me on the phone with the manager who said no one entered the room but me, and that they would not let me see the video myself (on the note: that camera was ONLY positioned to record the entrance to our room, so no GDPR issues for other guests would arise). So, even this was an affordable accomodation, in the end it costed me more that three-fold. So, I would definitely NOT repeat this, and I definitely would NOT reccomend it.

The Guest House is in very close proximity to the Great Pyramids Complex; and the views from your room (Desert View) and the rooftop, simply can not be better anywhere in Giza. Everything you can possibly need is in walking distance and at no time did I or my wife not feel safe to explore the surrounding area. The most important part of this review that I want to share beyond the magnificent views; and cleanliness of this hostel, is the fantastic staff of Horus Guest House. The level of service, friendliness and attentiveness to their guest's needs are beyond compare and truly left us in disbelief! Every commercial hotel can take a page from this establishment's level of service. The needs and requests of the customer come first. The staff and especially Osman, can assist you in any aspect of your vacation planning in Egypt, from booking tours, car service, dining they are there for you. The Horus Guest House offers an extraordinarily generous discount, when you purchase items from their shop. If I am fortunate enough to return to Egypt, I will stay here again because like they told us, you are staying with and are now part of the family.

Secluded in the heart of Giza
Reviewed By M190DI had a triple room with private shower. There was a tv table and a couple of chairs. Bathroom had a hot water heater. But our mini fridge is stocked with water and chocolate bars consumable at a minimum charge. So for me it was complete with everything I needed. You wouldn’t think that this place is just minutes away from the Giza pyramids. Either by horse or car it’s right there practically. Yes it’s so tranquil, away from city noise especially with the horses. They’re so serene and calming. So it’s the perfect place if u want something quiet and secluded almost felt like a retreat house yet very close to the desert and pyramids. Staff is most attentive starting with Ali who always let me know that I can call him anytime. He’s there 24/7 unless he’s out on an errand. Sharif was very helpful with my sunrise ride in Giza desert and in teaching me some Arabic. Owners are very personable and hospitable. They serve a delicious Turkish coffee at a minimum charge. Ahmed their stable boy has a beautiful smile. I luv what I call the community room. People gathered there to talk or watch tv including the owners. When I stayed there, a couple of other female guests and I would meet either here or right beside it where they had a couple of outdoor wooden couches by the corral. Note that internet is weak, towels are smaller and breakfast is very simple but at least they are provided. Some places in Giza charge for towels (eg Draz etc). You have a choice between a room with a private shower and toilet or use the shared facilities. Be sure to turn on the heater before u shower or water will be a tad cold. Luved the rooftop terrace. It is spacious. There is a beautiful view from there both at day and night. You can eat there, just enjoy the view out pray whatever u want. Waking up with horses onsite was a welcome experience for me. I’d luv to stay here again if I had the opportunity to return to Cairo. Thank u pyramids empire inn!

Reviewed By Hyoga83We loved this place; it's a bit no frills, but the location is awesome, the terrasse too (although a bit cold during our stay: must be paradise in Summer!) and at least our room was extremely big, silent and clean, with good beds. Breakfast was good, specially all things considered (price and location). For Cairo Pass wannabe clients only: this property is on the south entrance of the site, and the pass needs to be bought at the north...You will need an Uber to go! Otherwise the entrance is really closeby :) The room was clean, the breakfast area - sink not that much... We would go back without hesitation!
