It's not much to look at from the outside and they could definitely use some more space but this place is great. The onion burgers might not be super filling but they are tasty and something unique. This and Gene's are the go to icons in Anderson that you should go to if you're in the area.

Good food, great service, large portions, endless coffee. What's not to like? It has been at least ten years since The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I have been to The Toast. Nothing has changed. Eggs done right, toast is perfect, bacon is crisp.Get the big breakfast and you won't need lunch until much later in the day. We have never been here for anything other than breakfast, but I am sure that the lunch is just as good.

Great breakfast. Booth and table options in a pretty big space. My 2-egg ham and cheese omelet was very big, the standard omelets are 5 eggs! Bacon and hash browns were quite tasty, cooked perfectly. Coffee was a little weaker than I like, but easy to drink. Service with a smile and fair prices.

My teen grandson had never been to a Waffle House & it was right across from our hotel so we stopped to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning. The food was hot, very good, and the cost was extremely reasonable for the quantity/quality of our food.
