Though located within Middle Township, a small section at the southern edge of the community, located in Lower Township, is sometimes called Rio Grande. It is part of the Ocean City Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 2,670.

This is one of those chain operations that just get it right. The gas is as reasonable as can be expected in this day and age. Most of the time the help is friendly and courteous. The store is fully stocked with just about anything you could need on the road and then some. Just a good operation in general. This on in Rio is easy in and out on a main street and there is plenty of parking if you are just picking something up.

Found this place while staying at a rental in cape May. They delivered, and even though their ovens were down for a short portion of the time, they were on time. Pizza was hot and pretty good... even when reheated a few days later.

The Italian sub with peppers and onions was the perfect lunch. The rolls make these hoagies well worth the price. The small is enough to feed two people and the palce is very clean and the service is friendly and helpful.Thanks for the stars, Austin! It's awesome you left us with a full belly and a smile.
