Very often I stop in for what they call the Bacon B-Eggl. This is a fabulous bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and bacon and I have it with a Peet's French Roast coffee. Obviously they offer many different bagels and bagel sandwiches, but this guilty pleasure is my own.However, if this is your idea of a sinfully guilty pleasure breakfast, then look no further.Service is warm and friendly.Highly recommended breakfast on Lower Milpas. If you are staying at the Hyatt Centric, or the Santa Barbara Inn or the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort and don't have breakfast on your price plan or just don't want to be gouged for breakfast, Jack's is an easy 10 minute stroll.Go!

the ONLY reason i would knock this gem down is the prices (makes it totally impossible for a college student like myself to justify going here more than a couple times a year)went for my friends birthday brunch and the servers were beyond friendlyâevery table had fluffy blankets because it was getting chilly in the shade and they even brought out a slice of their most roasted beet chocolate cake and sang. overall an adorable brunch place with great food, perfect for a date items ordered:FAMOUS cinnamon roll (to die for)shrimp and grits ($18) perfectly cooked, except for the two poached eggs on top that were completely raw. subbed sausage for avocado so i was missing some flavor and texturelemon ricotta pancakes- fluffy and tasty but had a slight artificial lemmon flavorendless summer omelette crab cakesle burgermocha latte ($6.75)seasonal tears cocktail ($10-12)raspberry mule ($12)

Started our trip out of town with an early morning breakfast. Limited number of tables but only had to wait a matter of minutes.We were served coffee immediately and from then on our cups were never empty. I selected a four ingredient omelette and it was perfectly cooked. Choice of toast from breads made on the premises. This place is known for their bakery. Our server was friendly and attentive. I hope to eat there again soon!

After a couple hours of strolling State Street, we looked for a low key restaurant and found Paradise Cafe....wow! Very quaint and intimate environment with awesome staff! I had the Teriyaki Burger with grilled pineapple and my daughter had Paradise Burger and my son licked the plate of his Braised Pork! I truly love a good home made burger and this absolutely hit the spot! My daughter said it was the best sheâs ever had and wishes she had eaten slower to enjoy it longer! Weâre in the area for two weeks and will probably see this one a few more times...give it a try!

While it's menu is rather limited the food is rather good. The atmosphere leaves one feeling that they are actually out on the town, sometimes hard to achieve in a small village. The cocktails are typically superb. All said, it is an easy place to like.

We weren't very hungry, so decided to share a sandwich. Many places on the water in Santa Barbara were more upscale than we wanted, and we found Shoreline Cafe. Even on a cold, windy evening it offered a wonderful out in the open view of the ocean behind "windshields" and heaters. We shared a ham and swiss sandwich with fries (you don't have to get seafood or tacos!). It was a good size with plenty of juicy meat. They even brought each half of the sandwich and fries on its own plate at no extra charge. Server Madi was attentive but not intrusive and kept my husband's Diet Pepsi glass full.

First of all, this restaurant is NOT on Summerland Beach; but rather on the opposite side of noisy Highway 101. Views from the deck are OK looking southeast; but blocked by the freeway traffic looking straight out to the ocean. Host was alert, friendly and efficient. Our server was fairly proficient, well trained; but short on personality and had zero peripheral vision. We were seated in the main thoroughfare between the kitchen and east dining room, so she had to pass our table frequently. No eye contact contact at all. I had to literally put my arm out into the aisle to ask for water, pico de gallo, a bigger spoon for my oatmeal and the check. Speaking of which, if you want a glass of water, it costs $1 to buy a bottle of water. They claim this is due to the drought, which was declared officially over last year. My wife ordered the Scrambled Egg dish with toast and fruit and I ordered the Oatmeal with sautéed bananas. The scrambled eggs were over-cooked, dry and rubbery, even the pico de Gallo couldnât help, so she just ate the toast and fruit. My Oatmeal was good, great bananas and plenty of walnuts and raisins. The spoon they gave me was really a childâs spoon, the handle so short I couldnât mix in the cream without getting my fingers into the oatmeal. I asked for a larger spoon; but that was all they had.When I asked our server to clear our plates, no mention of the uneaten eggs was forthcoming. Then we sat until our server came by with food for another table before I could literally wave my hand in front of her face to ask for the check. Then we sat some more. Finally the check arrived and the good news was we hadnât been charged for the pico de gallo. Good spot for locals that are used to the âlocal flavor â; but our last time to put up with the quirks and barely survivable service.

You can find just about anything here if you are hungry! There is a coffee bar, ice cream bar, sandwich bar, lots of baked goods and candies and drinks. We visited on a lovely Friday afternoon and the place was crowded with locals. The black bean chili was a bit too salty for our taste but the baked goods were delicious,especially the pecan bar. Nice outdoor seating on the patio. Friendly staff who were all very helpful. We did not try the sandwiches but saw several people who seemed to have hit the jackpot with their choices. Would go again and try different things.

Omg. Simply perfection. What a place to sit and enjoy breakfast after time on the water!Greeted by the sweetest young man that filled my personal cup with cold brew. Hubby had the French toast. I had the frittata. Both AMAZING!Seating inside and patio. We will be back!
