Sant Joan de Labritja (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsaɲ ʒuˈan də ɫəˈβɾidʒə], Spanish: San Juan Bautista) is a village and municipality of the Balearic Islands on northern Ibiza. Among others, the resorts of Portinatx and Cala de Sant Vicent are located there. The actual village of Sant Joan is a quiet street, dominated by an imposing Christian church, and is the meeting point of Sant Joan de Labritja Municipal Council. One may find several small cafés and restaurants (including the locally well-known Vista Alegre, as well as a taxi rank,outside the Municipal Council building and the local office of the Guardia Civil, the Spanish Civil Guard. Towards the west of the village is the origin of the Torrent de Labritja, a tributary of the Riu de Santa Eulária, the Balearic Island's only constant-flowing river, although the Torrent only contains water during the winter months; throughout the tourist season, the stream is a dry river bed full of green vegetation.

Having visited this restaurant before I was disappointed with our recent visit. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy I felt the service was very sloppy and unprofessional. My husbands meal was not what he ordered though to be fair they did offer to change it, we were also not asked if we wanted desserts or coffees, I felt that they couldn’t be bothered to serve us, I know it’s nearly the end of the season but didn’t get this from other restaurants in Es Cana

Place under new recent new ownership - had a refurb. Nice greeting. Menu on blackboards fully & personally explained with good humour & charm by Italian lady.I opted for her recommendation which was a 20 Euro "Flank steak". Co-owner Eduardo, discussed the cooking of it with me and said it would melt in my mouth. He cooked it personally on the open fire and served it to our table himself - he asked me if it was cooked exactly to my liking - I tasted an outside piece and the taste sensation was absolutely fantastic - simply, the best meat I've ever tasted (I'm 63!). I asked for some of the inner slices to be cooked slightly more and he was only too happy to oblige - in a couple of minutes he brought them back perfectly done to my liking. This in my opinion was top notch service (& in my experience, very rare indeed!). My wife had sea bass fillet and these too were really excellent. We had a couple of drinks, small bread and homemade Pate starters and shared a tiramisu for desert (too full for one each!) - total bill was 60 Euros. Amongst several wonderful meals we had during our holiday, most of which were at our favourite restaurants, this was simply the best.....& that steak......to die for!! An absolute MUST TRY place when in this area. Received complementary Lemoncello with staff on leaving. Great service, lovely people, amazing food!! Thanks - till the next time!

Tonight's dinner was pretty average. Grilled chicken and some padron peppers, grilled courgette. We ordered also chicken stew that came with chorizo, black pudding & lamb neck. Quite greasy and not really what we expected. And the pudding crema catalana must be one of the worst we ever had. I went there 4 years ago and I think I'll take another 4 years to go back.

Second visit to Ibiza. Second visit to Cami de Balafia. Brought ten family members and three infants. Everyone enjoyed themselves. This is a simple but very effective concept. Bread, with olives and (strong) garlic spread, sliced tomatoes and onion (good quality) and delicious meat (steak or chicken) served with home made fries. I could have eaten all but the meat (but that would have been churlish!). My steak was very, very tasty. Wine is excellent. Service first class and very friendly. Ambiance is very relaxed. I was a little nervous about telling family how good this place would be - but I needn’t have worried. At all!

I have visited this restaurant every time I have visited Ibiza. Best to have a car as it is at 15.4 km marker on the way to Sant Joan. Everything is cooked on a wood stove. I always have the padron peppers and invariable there are one or 2 hot ones in the bunch but they are great. Very reasonably priced and packed by locals by about 10 p.m. The bbq chicken was great and 10E with potatoes and peppers. It is hard to find and why it has 2 names I don't know. It is on the right hand side of the road if you are going to Sant Joan from Ibiza town. The very good meat restaurant Balafia is directly across the road although about 50 meters off the road. You'll spend a lot more there. If you idea is to get out in the country and eat like the locals, this is your place!!

Lovely little beach restaurant, off the beaten track. A bit hard to find (be careful with google maps!) and you need to go on foot the last 200-300m. The grilled food is simple but delicious, the view priceless. Can recommend the cava-based sangria, and grilled tuna or shrimp. Enjoy!

We visited here in august for our wedding anniversary. What a Beautiful place . The setting is absolutely breathtaking and so romantic. Alfresco dinning at its best . We had the T-bone steak to share €59 it was gorgeous and huge. You cook it yourself and a barbecue at your table great fun!! We will be returning next year to ibiza and returning here . Well worth a visit!!

You could miss this place if you weren’t looking. Luckily we saw the sign and climbed the steps up. By far the best fillet steak I’ve ever had. I’m 6 months pregnant so couldn’t have my usual medium rare but it was incredible. It was so tasty I didn’t want it to end. My partner had the lamb and also loved it. Service was great- lovely bunch of lads really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Greeted by a friendly man from Manchester.We are only here for 5 nights and we might have to make another visit before we leave. 10/10 AMAZING FOOD

When I book my annual trip to Ibiza, I immediately think of Balafia. I love everything about the restaurant. The unpretentious style, the lovely staff, the friendly owner, the beautiful terrace, the excellent food, the homemade aioli, the fresh tomatoes, the wonderful house wine and the mouthwatering hierbas. I love it!
