My son and I were able to navigate to the ChopHouse after a visit to the National Gallery. It was the perfect environment to chat about our favorite art pieces. The steak was great and the Oatmeal Stout was just what the doctor ordered.

What makes the place neat.. the glass, the metal, the high ceilings...is also what makes it almost a miserable experience. We were there for the evening...it was maybe 85 degrees outside...and there was little difference in the temperature inside. The wait staff was not good...went with empty glasses for most of our time there. The food was pretty good but it was not worth the rest of the experience.

Everything was freshly made and delicious. I had Cuban pananni sandwich with side salad. My daughter had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens. My son had the shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta. All great. Atmosphere was fun.

We had dinner in the Mount Vernon location and enjoyed the meal very much. Large portions. We shared a Portobello mushroom sandwich and sautéed Brussels sprouts. Loved the Brussels sprouts! Great, lively, alternative atmosphere. Lots of new condos and positive atmosphere in the neighbourhood. Good for an inexpensive meal.

Found this place by chance while looking for some lunch, what a lucky find. This is a great place that I would recommend to anyone. The food was very good, the service was great, and the prices reasonable.

The food here is not bad, and is reasonably priced. I politely asked the server to bring out toast with my steak and eggs. It came out just as I was finishing my breakfast. The server explained that the old toast had burned, and that I could eat this toast for dessert.No apology offered. Not the end of the world, but not acceptable either. There are far better options in the area. You might consider trying one of them. Two stars only because the food was good.

We were seated at the front entrance. The waiting area was behind us. People were overflowing into our dining space. A few even watch us dine. The noise level was unbearable. We could hardly hear each other. Our server was missing in action practicality the whole meal. Our drinks never got a refill. My entrée was Prime Rib. The cut was burnt black around the edges. The server never came back to ask if the meal was satisfactory. It wasn't the quiet and romantic place to share a dinner. For the price we paid, the service, and the extremely loud background noise levels. We probably won't return.Hello, we are so sorry to have disappointed you Lary. I went to Hankâs for lunch and my timing was perfect cause it ended up being the beginning of happy hour. The happy hour menu to me was just enough and the prices was just right. The oysters was fresh. I definitely will be coming back the restaurant.

The food is hit-or-miss and Mike has resisted including many vegan or vegetarian options, despite a growing range of tasty options.It's geared towards folks who like a super loud (aka "vibrant") atmosphere. I prefer to hear my table mates.Been going for 20-some years. Love the shop and his leadership in the community, but we've found the restaurant lackluster, given the growing options.

Highlights: Fried Arancini. Fun Theme, Casual atmosphereDetails: On a friday night, we were seated immediately. As we were first timers, our server spent time explaining the menu and also brought us sample appetizers as a first-time experience. I enjoyed the Arancini â it was one of the sample appetizers. I ordered the pear and apple salad with bleu cheese. It was just okay. My husband had the burger â he enjoyed that greatly.I think the theme and the prices matched up. It's not unique, but a reliable place with lots of dining options.
