My husband and I both ordered the ‘lightly’ breaded lamb chops with mashed potatoes and gravy. It arrived at our table: two heavily breaded pork chops on top of the mashed potatoes and a dark brown thick gravy on top of the pork chops. I first attempted to cut my lamb chop but was unable to. My husband suggested I remove the bread crumbs so I could see the meat on the lamb chop. I did so and found where I was attempting to cut was bone. There wasn’t a lot of meat. In the end, when we were finished, our plates were still half full with all the bread crumb topping, some fat, bone, and a bit of gristly meat. Basically it was a disgusting dinner for $18.00 AUS. I gave it a 2=Poor rating versus a 1=Terrible, because the table next to us ordered a Fisherman’s Basket with Squid, fish filet, prawns and chips and it did look good. The guy said it was good, but I did notice he removed all the breading on the fish and prawns. It was enough to feed two people. His meal was deep fried and it seemed like our lamb chops had been deep fried too, but unsure. Customers are required to walk up to the bar and submit their drink and food order. They do bring it out to the table. It appears to be popular with locals. If I were to return, I would order a fish dish.

If you are looking for a decent coffee, this is the place to be. The smashed avocado was well presented with generous toppings however the croissants were served dry which I thought unusual. Lovely friendly staff and a trendy feel to the cafe. Worth a visit.

Top coffee, and Herself applauded the gluten-free lemon slice. We were lucky to find a vacant table at 1130 on a Saturday - the last one in captivity - and the only problem was that those seated at another table couldn't read their table number, and we received their coffee order. Our order arrived shortly afterwards, and - I think! - the other table received their coffees belatedly, after we'd left.

We were staying at the motel next door which seams to be owned by the same people (which was very nice, modern, clean and comfy beds). Unfortunately after 3 weeks touring Australia we were not extremly hungry. The restaurant was almost full being a Saturday night, we had pre booked and so had a lot of people, most tables were reserved. The portions were really big but everything coming out of the kitchen looked to be beautifully presented and very appetising. My husband and I shared a starter and I had a salad for my main thinking it would be quite light. It was huge topped with a poached egg and large amounts of chicken. The chicken was moist and tasty but I could only make a small indent of my salad. I got the impression that there was a Spanish background here, they did paella, calamari, churros and used a few Spanish ingredients, they also did pasta, steaks, fish. My advice, come hungry, share a starter and make sure you get to the desserts....and share that...unfortunately we could not make it to dessert but they looked absolutely delicious. Lovely restaurant, everything looks new and modern, they had a lovely patio area at the back which would have been nice on a summer evening. The service was precise and very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

In the centre of Naracoorte, Billy Mac's is a great place for dinner. The salad bar offers both hot and cold options and the bread rolls were warm. The large crowd that is attracted to Billy Mac's speaks volumes about the value and the experience. Staff were friendly. Meal servings were average size. The heavy tables create atmosphere however make sure you don't sit by the heavy legs - quite uncomfortable. The footy was on the big screen adding to the busyness of the place. Bookings are needed as so busy.

The food was overpriced and overcooked. The entreė of mussels at $16 was 4 mussels! The stuffed chicken was dry, hard and appeared to have been reheated my times. The side of vegetables was mushy. I don’t know who is writing these great reviews- maybe relatives. This was a very disappointing meal!
