we stopped to have the claimed 'world best vanilla slice' but no vanilla flavour to.the slice. why? otherwise light custard on light pastry so not bad please add the vanilla flavour so that it can really be a vanilla slice.nice staff and nice environment

The atmosphere at the Christmas in July on Sunday brought back fond memories of a family Christmas in the UK, so much effort by the owners was put into this and they got it spot on, the log fire was glowing and enticing, the decorations in the hall and on the tables were great traditional touches as was the well presented gift, people were laughing and having a joyous time. The 3 course meal was absolutely delicious it came with all the trimmings and the desert was so yummy. Many thanks to Garry, Nicole and other staff members for such a wonderful and memorable Christmas in July, the best that we have attended. Irene & Charles OlsenHi 6281234, so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your Christmas In July and that it reminded you of family Christmas back in the UK. Its very nice to celebrate a cold "Christmas" with the fire going, in comparison to our usual hot Australian Christmases. Glad you were pleased and we hope to see you again. We will be sure to do more Christmas in July functions next July and probably annually. Kindest Regards, Nicole.

We stopped en-route to Launceston for a coffee break. Such a charming little cafe with loads of comfy couches and a really historic atmosphere. We decided to have the Devonshire tea (with coffee). $9 each. The scones were divine, light and fluffy with yummy raspberry jam and real whipped cream. The menu looked good value too. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed a lunch here but it was perhaps a little over-priced. We ordered our coffee with out meal (mistake) and of course got our coffee long before the meal arrived.
