The information on plaques was interesting and entertaining to learn about tasmanian convict heritage. The range of convictions from petty theft through to murders was varied and poignant. Harsh penalties for small crimes committed.

clean ,lovely owners husband and wife ,excellent for coffee or a beer ,while looking or purchasing quality paintings by the husband , great place to relax for an hour ,excellent visit will return again and again..........

Built in 1836 by British convicts transported from Britain. The red bricks used in the structure give its name, The Red bridge. The three graceful spans reflect beautifully in the flowing water.

Loved this place! Great selection of items, all with wonderful history. A little pricy but you might expect that for quality antiques of interest. If you’re passing through, this is well worth a visit.
