This restaurant was still closed when we came but we were able to have a sneak preview of the inside. Nice interior in great Asian/modern style. The outside seating is standard Swiss. We stayed at the hotel and had our first evening meal at the restaurant Yu within the building. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the staff is welcoming and nice. The food is superbe. We are an international group that meet once a month for a reasonably priced meal. Again the Arirang did not let us down, we all enjoyed the food and the good service. The restaurant is around the corner from Hirschengraben 11, in Wallgasse, it is near the Mr. Pickwick pub.

I have lunch regularly at the sushi bar. 4 excellent and fresh menu's to chose from. Mostly theyre pretty booked out so definitely book a table in advance and also they usually give you a deadline but absolutely worth the quality you get

By far the best Indian restaurant in town. Two sister restaurants exist, Okra and Kesar. Have tried Kesar too, same standard, slightly fancier - more modern inside, less easy to access. As a person with South Asian roots, can attest to the authenticity of all meals served here, after repeated visits. Certainly, some dishes are "toned down" to suit local taste, but never unrecognizably so. The terrasse at Tulsi makes it the preferred option. Reservations are definitely required, and may have to be re-confirmed (the occasional mix-up has happened, but nothing of consequence). Food and service are faultless and this place is unreservedly recommended. Be advised however, that prices are in the higher tier. That being said, this is quality that one is prepared to pay for (although perhaps not without limits).Herzlichen Dank für Ihr Feedback. We were in Bern in July 2017 and had a very enjoyable dining experience at Restaurant Aarbergerhof. It is located at Aabergergasse 40 which is a main street lined with outdoor restaurants. What set this restaurant apart was the availability of an English menu which contained a mix of modern French, Italian and Swiss cuisine, as well as, a good selection of wines. You can dine outside, or pass through an arcade set with several white-cloth tables that are well-spaced. The final choice is a very tasteful dining room which would be great in the winter. We dined in the arcade and had great service, wonderful menu selections (the Tagliata with steak and cream sauce was perfect) and an excellent choice of wines. A delicious dessert and coffee finished the meal. Had a chance to meet the co-owner Patrik Schaad. His staff follows in his footsteps...courteous and friendly. Would recommend it highly as being a cut above in ambience, food and service.

We had dinner here and were watching one of the football games from the European Championship. The food is good and service is friendly. I had the mixed Pakoras as a starter. They came with a bit of green salad with an interesting mango dressing. Yum! The Pakoras were excellent. They were a bit tight on the Raita serving though.For the main course I chose the Shahi Chicken Korma. This was very tasty too.Will come back to this place. The title of this review is not an exaggeration. We have lived here for two years and eaten in 40+ restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and have eaten at Kesar about five times. Obviously, it's hard to compare different cuisines, but Kesar (and sister restaurant Okra) never disappoint. This is Indian cuisine at its very best. Service is good as well. Authentic. Friendly. This is mostly an Asian restaurant, but we were here at lunch time and the menu had a wide variety of choices. Located at the far end of old town, just before the bridge to the bears. We ate outside at a communal long table, but it was not very busy. I had a very large salad with tuna (canned variety), and partner had minestrone soup and Asian shrimp dumplings.
