While looking over the menu we received a complimentary order of pork rinds that we're absolutely delicious. We ordered the sirloin steak dinner with two sides, my steak was prefectly cooked medium and my husband's steak was medium rare. Both very perfect and delicious. Can't say enough about how good everything tasted.

We stopped in for lunch. There were 5 choices of main course with two sides priced at $6.15. My wife and I both ordered country fried steak. Mine with beets and hominy, hers with pasta salad and baked beans. Everything was very good -- food and service. We finished with a slice of coconut cream pie. It was good and generously cut for $1.75. This is REAL food at prices not seen in much of the country for years. Many of the previous reviews mention the smokiness of the restaurant. I do not smoke myself, but I object on principle to having government regulate private businesses. My objections aside, the signs at the entry read "no smoking due to city ordinance" so this objection has been removed. There was not a trace of tobacco odor.

Enjoyed a nice meal at TJ's. As noted by other reviews, they allow smoking. After dinner we enjoyed a cigar after a great canoe trip on the North Fork of the White River. The food was an honest steak, served well and by friendly staff while we watched the Royals play. We also enjoyed a free Apple Beer that was given away by the bar staff. Is TJ's four star dining? No - but it isn't priced that way or pretending to be. Steak dinner, three beers and a freebie: $23. Hard to beat!

The food is mostly good. However the last two times my family ate here the service has been terrible. After our last visit this past weekend I decided it was time to leave a review. There are some consistent issues. The hostess seats people in back corners crammed in with other dinners even though there are other open tables and more room throughout the restaurant. We have had to repeatedly ask for a booster seat each time we go there. On our last visit after asking for the third time for a booster seat my husband finally got up and got it himself, we asked more than one person for help and we were clearly not going to get it.Service is slow. But the final straw was watching one of the staff go up to the salad bar take her bare hands and proceed to wipe the salad plates with them then put them back down for dinners to use ââ um NO that is disgusting and under no circumstances should anyone be doing that. Who wants to eat off plates someone has rubbed their hands all over?!

Waitress was fantastic she served 13 people near closing time with no glitches whatsoever!! after she took our order and served our drinks she came around 2nd time verifying everyone's order. I had never seen this done before and I am 70 years old have ate out a time or two.

This was my first time here and i was impressed as it was busy but i had great service at bar and the crowd was nice. On Wednesday their special is wings. Mine was very good and i am looking forward to going back and trying something else.

Although I live locally tonight was my first time eating here. I had very low expectations to be honest, which is why I never bothered to stop in. But I couldnât have been more wrong. Do not let the exterior of the building or location fool you, it is an excellent place to eat. It is clean, quiet, and friendly. Non smoking and they have a good menu to satisfy anyone not wanting fish. I had the Cajun crawfish tacos, side salad and fried okra; kids ate burger, fries, chicken nuggets; husband ordered grilled chicken, salad and broccoli..... it was all served in a timely manner tasted spot on and was at a fair price point for families dinning out.Ice cream is included which of course the kids loved. It is one of my new go to restaurants and I could kick myself for not having been there sooner. Two âs up!!!

Like the food all right and service is good, but Fox news on every TV in the place is overwhelming. Please consider picking something neutral - like the Food channel, the History channel, or Discovery. I cannot digest my food with that Infotainment broadcasting.
