If you haven't tried Which Wich, you're missing out. We first tried this in another state before it became more popular. This is hands down the best sandwich shop in town. The ability to grab a paper bag from the wall and mark the bread, meat, and toppings you want makes the whole ordering process easier and less complicated. These sandwiches are super tasty!

Came here for the first time while in the Joliet area. Thought the food was really good, these portions are really huge. Probably could have split one with hubby. :Prices were pretty reasonable for the amount of food. Good customer service. Would recommend this place to others.

Have been to Skooters several times and it hasn't disappointed. Good bar food; awesome music, with something for everyone. There's a wide open restaurant/bar area, with pool tables; a large outdoor patio; and a great standing-room/dancing-room venue area. Just saw Thompson Square there on the 16th and had a blast. Great concerts here and the venue is large enough to dance.

Matty's West Family Restaurant

We stopped in shortly after lunch time, the restaurant was not busy. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. Our waitress was cleaning off tables, sorting silverware, doing busy work. While we were waiting she did come over to refill our drinks and said that she would check on our order. We waited, customers left and NO more customers came in, finally our order came. The soup was just warm and very watery, the hamburger tasted rancid. We were unable to eat the food.A family, 2 adults and 3 small children and were seated directly behind us, although there were lots of empty tables in Matty's. We told our waitress about the watery soup and the meat tasted rancid. She did offer to have the cook get us" another bowl of soup and hamburger" At this point, we had been there for 40 minutes, and asked for our check. When we went to the front counter to pay, the "manager" asked us how was everything. We told him that the soup was not hot, and it was very watery. We did not eat the hamburger as it did not taste good. He said nothing, just stared at us. So I did explain, thinking that he did not hear or understand what we had just said. Again, he stared at me and said nothing except the total amount due. We did pay, but that is the last time, we will eat at Matty's in Shorewood. We will go to Matty's on RT 83, it is better.

Our last visit was one of many since we found this local neighborhood family restaurant. We have visited for breakfast and dinner and always enjoy the food. Service is always good. My favorite breakfast is the spinach, mozzarella and tomato omelet. Nice variety for dinner. Everything we tried was always good.

Saturday 7:30 ordered the "Dutch baby" had coffee and a side of sausage patties while I waited. It takes 45+ minutes to bake. Had time to kill till my 9am appointment. Check out the picture. Took over half of it home and that's the small one. Comes with butter, lemons and powdered sugar. Yummy. You have to try it sometime... might want to take a few friends with you to help eat it!! Place was busy and almost packed at 8:45 when I left. Anyone in or around Joliet, Il should look this place up.
