We stopped here for the first time and became amazed at the decor of this small bar/restaurant all dedicated to the Chicago Cubs. Then, we ordered Beef Barley Soup, BLT, Irish Nachos and a Caesar Salad...all pictured below. The pictures speak for themselves...what a fantastic lunch. Although they were too busy for me to inquire, it appears that all is made daily in their ample kitchen. The barley soup was served with a fork and spoon...i never ate this style soup but it was really tasty; the other Soup of the day was Hamburger Vegetable...it was a hard decision and I almost ordered both. The Irish nachos and the Caesar chicken salad were just simply excellent. The restaurant portion filled up very quickly so we were fortunate to arrive before 4PM.This is a must stop for me on any future trips between Detroit and Chicago on I-94. My travel companions said that we must stop again on our return trip to Chicago.

This is a great tap room for a craft brewery. Frequented by locals, the beer is fresh and excellent quality, with a range of options available. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and willing to share their vast knowledge of their products. Great atmosphere, average food, well worth the stop.

Stopped in for our first time after the summer slam as locals to support them in the off season. They had great weekend specials—I had the Grilled Salmon with Cherry-Chipotle BBQ Sauce with fresh roasted sweet corn salsa over Parmesan risotto-OMG Delish! And my husband had the Roasted NY Strip Loin Sandwich with melted Cheddar and Horseradish cream sauce—also delicious! Oh and can’t forget the Michigan Blueberry Crisp that was tart and sweet. You can’t go wrong dining here, atmosphere and service is all spot on! And they treat their customers right with great specials in the off season! Thank you Tim and Jennifer!

Driving between Chicago and Michigan today and found this little gem we are recommending to friends! A small deli in back has a broad and elevated selection of meats and cheeses and with the sampling of mustards, jams and crackers, a really lovely picnic could be assembled here. In front, order at the counter and select from a variety of fresh bakery goods, full coffee service and a menu of cooked to order food like Mom made. We had the biscuit and gravy, the donzel (donut pretzel, like a raised donut with a chewier bite) and eggs with bacon, cheese hash browns and toast. I treated myself to a ham, chive and cheese biscuit and it was flaky, tender and full of savory flavor. In addition, a sandwich menu is served for lunch and through the afternoon. Located no more than 3 minutes off the highway with minimal turns, this is worth the detour and will please adults and children alike.

We were 2 couples and all 4 of us had the codfish, but 2 of us are on special diets and the waitress was very accommodating. The cod was delicious, perfectly prepared and paired with some nice sides. We had taken a chance on a Saturday night and they were able to accommodate us although the place was hopping. We sat outdoors on a beautiful summer night but they also have indoor and screened in porch seating. We will definitely be back--for more cod or something else.
