Reviews on American food in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The mere mention of Hawaii is enough to prompt visions of grass skirts and colorful cocktails with tiny umbrellas. While you will find some kitsch in Honolulu, you’ll also find art museums, bike paths, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Popular Waikiki Beach has soft sands and great surf. For majestic Oahu views scramble to the top of Diamond Head – a 350-acre volcanic crater. Historic structures like Iolani Palace and Ali'iolani Hale are worth a visit on a non-beach day.

We went to Livestock on the advise of a friend and were not disappointed. The food was great with a wide selection (they were, unfortunately out of steak tartar, which had been highly suggested) and huge portions. Service was excellent even though the place was packed. Save room for dessert! Everything we tried (and shared) was fantastic!

Happy Hour only in bar area - and NO KIDS allowed. This is a first for us... fairly disappointed as I had a gift card too! They were not real friendly at hostess table either.Pamela, thank you for your candid review. The Royal Hawaiian presents Azure - a world-class restaurant perched along the Waikiki beachfront under the canopy of hotel's dramatic architecture. The bejeweled oceanfront space is adorned with intimate candles, plush banquettes, and pillows - creating
We were seated immediately near several tables for wedding guests enjoying their after ceremony dinner. It was a joy to see so many happy people for a very special occasion. The service was fast, the food was very good, and the drinks were perfectly made. My only complaint is that some birds flew in to find food left on the floor. We had to shoo them away when they got too close.

The NY strip was as good ad I expected. Cooked medium rare as requested, juicy and very richly flavored. The au gratin potatoes were an exquisite side. Nice glass of pinot noir rounded iff a great meal. Came here for our last meal before leaving Oahu. Small, unassuming place which made it hard to find. I could be wrong, but we didnt see any signs except for a small one on the front door. We got here around 9am on a Monday and the place was beginning to fill up. I got the loco moco, which was tasty but not any different from any other loco moco I've had. The crispy rice on the bottom of the skillet was a nice touch though. The gf and the kid shared the bibimbap, which they enjoyed. We noticed the portions were a bit on the small side. 2 entrees and 1 guava juice for close to 40 dollars. Service was decent, nothing special. There is a parking lot with metered parking.

$40 for breakfast for two seems pricey, even for outside of Waikiki. No question that the food was good. I had the meatloaf loco moco with fried rice (+$2.00). Spouse had an omelet with two types of meat and cheese. Salsa was extra. Service was a bit spotty on a Tuesday morning. It's been better there. But it is a popular choice for breakfast and there was a wait. Good food, usually great service but don't expect cheap eats.

Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar is located in the heart of Waikiki on the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Beachwalk. This scenic location features a second- story dining room, as well as a third- story rooftop bar with a beach-inspired cocktail area complete
My husband had the coffee crusted ribeye and the flavor was great. We also had the marlin and crab cake and It was excellent too. Portions were generous. I just gave them a very good, because my daughter ordered the filet mignon salad, the meat and the grilled potatoes were cold and meant to be cold, which in my opinion ruined the dish. Pricy restaurant, most dishes were over $30

We ate dinner at Uncle Bo's at the recommendation of one of the employees at our hotel. We discovered that this restaurant is well known and loved by locals. The restaurant is not large, and has a casual feel synonymous with Hawaii. The music played on the sound system was 80's rock and roll, which we enjoyed. The service was prompt. The food was *outstanding*. We shared two appetizers, crab cakes and dynamite shrimp. Both were truly tasty. We noticed two other customers had ordered salads, and the salads were huge. The couple next to us got fried ice cream as a desert and they loved it. When we return to Honolulu, we will definitely go to Uncle Bo's again. This restaurant has food that is as good or better than many higher priced alternatives.

Adventurous "foodies" will appreciate and enjoy the experience at the Chef's Counter! The food is creative, artistic, delicious and meticulously prepared before your eyes. One of the two chef-owners graciously interacted with all 8 counter guests each course throughout our evening, adding a special touch to the great service provided by the dedicated server. The beverage pairing is a great way to elevate the entire experience.

Nine of my family dropped in on a rainy day for great food, great service and fun staff. We loved the blueberry french toast. Eggs benedict in different varieties was also very good. It was a fun brunch.
