I went here with a group of girls for a small bachelorette party. It was recommend by one of the girls and she was right on! We got two sides and the Spinach Artichoke dip was AMAZING! There meal selection is small but everything looked and tasted great! I got the Buffalo Chicken tacos and they were so good but a bit spicy which I liked. The bar selection is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had a Dark and Stormy and it was amazing, they even catered to the bride to be with a non-alcoholic drink which was said was AMAZING. I will be back soon! The staff was lovely as well!

We took my 2 grandsons to Culvers on a Tuesday at 5:30p.m. We ordered 2 burger combos, 1 chicken strip combo and a pot roast meal. We took our order #&drinks a d sat down. 15 min later I inquired about our meal, told it was coming up soon. Within 5 min.we had our food, but sad substituted for fries in one combo not received, and wrong sides for dinner. I took wrong orders back up, we received replacements in 8 minutes. Our dinner was confusing and kind of a bummer because of this, but the food was great as usual. I'm thinking the Kids behind the counter need more guidance??

My husband and I have been here a few times and each time it has been excellent! Usually we go for breakfast, but this time, we went for lunch! Mmm! Everything we had was awesome! Super good prices and delicious food! A must stop if you're in Burlington!! I'd have given them 5 stars if I hadn't watched my dinner sitting in the window under the heat lamps for over 5 minutes. Not sure where our waitress was? Fortunately the food was still warm and we were very satisfied! We'll be back!JFLovestravel51, thank you for your positive review and many compliments. We are so glad to hear that we were able to offer such a fantastic dining experience! We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Take care.

The dining area is quite noisy during busy times in the main restaurant, but the food is worth braving the sound level. This is a local hangout for lunch or dinner except on Mondays, when it's closed. Two of us had the regular Fish Fry; the other two had Cod Oscar, which comes with asparagus and a rich, delicate Hollandaise sauce. I ordered Imagery Chardonnay from California, and was pleased that it paired well with both the cod and the sauce. DO NOT miss their desserts, particularly the Lemonade Cake and the Choc'Late Lovin' Spoon Cake. The Creme Brulee is also quite good.Janet, thank you for taking the time to share some honest feedback! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy our food here, especially the desserts. Hope to have you back for a true five-star experience next time. Best, Tanya P.

The Charcoal Grill & Rotisserie

Reviewed By Janet D

The Charcoal Grill and Rotisserie is a chain with several restaurants throughout Wisconsin. My husband and I have eaten at the Burlington restaurant several times, usually with friends. Wood-fired pizza, barbecue, and rotisserie meats are their specialties. Stick with these, and you'll have a good meal. Choose something exotic, and there's more chance of not getting something you'll like (the first time there, we celebrated my birthday lunch: I ordered their Oriental stir-fry, and it wasn't good--we didn't return for years.) Sandwiches are normally tasty, and come with standard sides. The Burlington restaurant has received a face-lift in the last few years, which makes it much more comfortable and welcoming. It does get really busy around lunch and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, so be prepared to wait for seating. The service is usually pretty good, and the turnover is consistent. It does get noisy when the place is full because it has so many hard surfaces, so diners often find themselves yelling at their table mates. This restaurant did serve us a good dinner one night when the electricity in our neighborhood failed: we were very happy to find The Charcoal Grill still had power, and were welcoming customers on a very icy evening when neighborhoods to the west were dark.

Family was in the mood for burgers & everyone wants it different from plain to spicy and everything inbetween. Fred's didn't disappoint. Kids meals are great as well with the option of no fries and applesauce replacement! For first timers... Fried food will come to table usually before you get your burgers. Almost forgot to mention that only fresh potatoes and meat are used!

This is by far the best spot in town to go for breakfast. They have anything and everything (breakfast related)and it's always cooked just right. It can be quite crowded and there is good reason for that! The coffee is always hot, the wait staff is always ready, and you has the coolest down home diner atmosphere that you see in movies. Have never had a bad thing on the menu. Be aware though, no credit or debit cards accepted. Truly an institution in Burlington!
