This beautiful Hotel in the Turracher Mountains has also a great Restaurant, where I had one of the best meals ever. The chef in the restaurant is a Hauben Chef and you could easily say that this cold be a Michelin restaurant. The location is amazing and the wievs are stunning!

We were lucky to have a lunch after the crowd left (after 3:00 PM)The service was excellent (nearly no other people).The soups were delicious, the Kaiserschmarl was not less good.The atmosphere, and the place (all-in all) was very good.

We visit Carinthie every year. In winter we love to go to this great mountain cabin. You walk appr. 30-45 mins uphill in a beautifull snow landscapes. On top you will find this very cozy cabin where you get very good, homemade food. All the meat, bread, soups etc is homemade and tastes delicious. When there is enough snow, you can go 'rodeln' which means that you can take your sleigh or borrow one and you sleigh down hill. Great fun for the whole family!! This time we went also in summer and spent a night in the cabin. They only have a few beds available. We all love this place and will come back for sure.The owners are very, very friendly people and make this place even more special!!

The restaurant can only be reached by the toll road Nockalmstrasse (free for Karnten card holders, worth buying if planning to visit more attractions in the region). Based on the local advertisements, the expectations were high, but unfortunately the food (we ordered traditional local dishes) wasn't outstanding, any decent restaurant in the area offers this quality or better. Service wasn't very friendly, nor helpful. Next to the restaurant is a playground on steep hill, thus not suitable for small kids. One can't pay with card at the restaurant, the solution is to visit the farmers market next door offering electronic payments (or bring cash :-))

Restaurant Nock-In is situated close to the upper station of the Brunnach funicular in Bad Kleinkirchheim. It is a modern squat building, but with an excellent outdoor seating area. We are accustomed, that restaurants, situated at the upper station of a funicular are self service, with mediocre products and elevated prices (part of these price hikes can of course be explained by the complex logistics). But Restaurant Nock-In employs waiters and waitresses, so we were served at our table with coffee and cake, which were surprisingly good. What remained were the elevated prices. But summing up, we had a nice sit-down, also due to the glorious weather.
