Nocky Flitzer

Very funny.. The roller coaster reachs 50 km/h speed and during the downhill you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Mountains and the Turrachersee.
But too many people go too slowly and use too much the brakes.
If you run just after people like those, you miss the most of the fun because you reach them even in the middle of the downhill and you have to slow as well.
I could see most of this people are typically mothers with kids.
I'd like then to suggest the attendants to wait some more time before giving the green light to drivers following mother with young boys.

Barbara Weg

One of the more beautiful hikes you can take is the Barbara Weg. You can start at the Panorama lift and do the whole 2 hour walk or go up by chair/gondola lift and do only a part of the hike

3 Seen Rundweg

Reviewed By ajt_austria - Wolfsberg, Austria

I have walked the 3 seen rundweg (3 lake circular walk) a few times. It's beautiful in summer and winter. Firstly, there is plenty of parking at Turracher Hohe. The walk takes you around Turrachsee with its picture postcard hotels and cafe's. After a short uphill section you then arrive at Schwarzsee, passing a few gasthoff's along the way. then its a woodland walk downhill to Grunsee, before returning to Turracher Hohe. In winter, you can even walk on the frozen lake itself, which is pretty amazing.

Panoramabahn Turracher

Friendly stuff, who speaks german and english. When you go on ride, you have option to go up with chairlift or with gondola. The view around is great. You see Turracher See and Mountains. It was great, just a little cold and windy. We needed windstopper.

Turracher Hohe

Reviewed By Damir G - Zagreb, Croatia

Spending a previous day in well known Bad Kleinkircheim ski area on old ski lifts made us to change the area for skiing and we did not regret about it. Turracher Höhe is just what we needed to spend a great day on the skiing slopes. New ski lifts and well maintained slopes improved our feelings from the previous day. Area has about 40km of slopes and it is just enough for one day. There is a slope for everyone, from easy ones to steep and demanding ones. Even some new ideas with combining chair lift with gondola on the same rope was something I did not see until this visit. There is also a roller coaster just beside the "Panoramabahn" for some extra adrenaline. Ski area is divided in two parts, one on the each side of the road and they are connected with "sea-taxi" which is dragging you over the frozen lake. Only down side is quite hectic parking along the road and some smaller areas around but it seems that everybody finds his way and a place to park.
New ski lifts like Schafalmbahn, Kornockbahn and Turrachnahn are fast and for six skiers. There could be some little queue with waiting for about five minutes on new lifts. Area is rather great probably for some off piste skiing when there is a lot of fresh snow.
