My wife, like many other wives I imagine, has a 'thing' about washrooms in restaurants and I have had to leave a great number in the past owing to them not passing my wifes inspection.XEREM FUSION I am delighted to say past with flying colours and I was therefore allowed to sample some of their delicious food. Whilst they have a number of delighful looking appetizers, the couvert is ample when accompanied by a hearty fillet steak. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and accompanied by a pot of homegrown vegetables and Boulanger potatoes. The desserts were quite simply divine. I enjoyed the creamiest melt-in-the-mouth red berry cheesecake whilst my wife had a deconstructed Lemon meringue pie. With a bottle of Herdade dos Grouse at 17 Euros a bottle, 2 large bottles of fizzy water and 2 glasses of rose wine, the bill for 4 adults came to 120 Euros. VERY REASONABLE INDEED FOR FOOD OF THIS QUALITY. Thank you Restaurant XEREM. We will be returning very soon.Good morning, we're very happy that you enjoyed it and we very much appreciate your comment. Thank you

The entrance via the bar led to the main restaurant at the rear which was pleasantly furnished though right on space.Staff were extremely pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive. They checked with us regularly that all was good which it was.The stater we opted for was literally the bread and tapas style of food they bring. One observation I had of it was that actually the bread bag (instead of usual basket) whilst a nice cute offering in terms of presentation needed a good wash and I think if management reads this they should look at this simple improvement. My main was a pork trio - fabulous. Came with lovely rice, fries and salad being hot and totally fresh. My other family members opted for calamari rings and chicken in breadcrumbs. We all enjoyed the meal and for 45euro it was standard price including 2 G&Tâs and a beer.I would deffo return.

We dined here last night on our first night in Paderne and were impressed with the quality of the food and the generous portions. We all chose to have the couvert, which consisted of bread, salmon pate, olives and a soft waxed cheese. It was a better standard of couvert than what we have had in similar traditional Portuguese restaurants. All of our main courses were excellent and cooked to perfection. Three of our party enjoyed the piri piri chicken, which had a crispy skin while the chicken remained moist. Another member of our party had the golden bream as they had ran out of seabass and hake earlier in the day. The bream was huge and very fresh. We were also given large silver trays with fries and a tomato, onion and lettuce salad drizzled with olive oil and oregano to share. The salad was very fresh and the onions were deliciously sweet. The service was a little stilted and slow, but the excellent food made up for it.All of this food along with 8 large glasses of Sagres served in frosted glasses (much appreciated on a warm night) and a bottle of white wine came to 75â¬, which was a very nice surprise as we expected to pay more.We will definitely return to Os Arcos again during this holiday.Thank you for your comment. I'm waiting for your next visit. Thank you.

Everything was better than expected the food could have been hotter. Sadly as with a lot of restaurants the childrenâs food is very poor quality with cheap bagged refried chicken nuggets tgatmy son could not eat.

Friendly service, we have been on several occasions, highly recommend. I usually have beef steak on the stone, the meat is always wonderfully tender. Good wine selection.

We arrived very late to dinner and were very well received. The recommenation of the staff was boar stew that my husband promplty accepted and and I chose a steak with fries and salad. The plates were generous and we could not eat everything. We had sangria. The price was cheap considering the choice of the menu. The restaurant is very nice with a beautiful and typical decoration.
A place where the old and the contemporary with the bicycles unites to be different in a village always authentic ... visit us
Everything in the cafe revolves around bicycles. Very nice decoration and the owner is dressed appropriately;-)We had some tapas and a drink on the small terrace.Must-stop when visiting Alte and the three fountains.Free wifi is available but the password is very complex (and in Portuguese)
