Nice hotel in great location

Hotel is in a very walkable location. Staff was nice and have a large breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice but on the small size. The pool is not very large and felt crowded even though not many people were there.

Hotel Le Pigonnet

"A secret garden in Aix-en-Provence" The Hotel Le Pigonnet is an enchanting escape in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. This elegant Provence bastide combines the 18th century warmth with a contemporary style in order to offer guests a pure delight of charm and peacefulness, where the heaven’s doors are always opened. And imagine admiring the majestic Sainte-Victoire Mountain as through the eyes of the renowned painter Paul Cézanne. The beautiful garden remains a real place to live where regular guests, guests on holidays or people from the city, play the traditional “pétanque”, enjoy the swimming pool or savor southern cuisine dishes, at the restaurant La Table du Pigonnet. Take a stroll around this marvelous garden. The magic and peaceful atmosphere makes you believe you are not in the heart of the city. This haven of peace is lined up with century chestnut trees, a blooming arcade with roses of a thousand colors. Le Pigonnet currently brings Aix locals and tourists from around the globe together via fine dining and music. Traditions and modern art de vivre are rolled into one, making the hotel an ideal base for touring the south. It is also a destination in itself. Relax to the sound of the water features and walk in Paul Cézanne's footsteps. No need to go far to escape as you explore the delightful sections one after another.

Absolutely Lovely Visit

Reviewed By SDAATL

We just spent three nights at this lovely hotel and enjoyed every moment. It’s quiet and relaxing, and the huge garden behind the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast is served in the garden as well as dinner. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable with a private deck overlooking the garden. We ate dinner here one evening and had a wonderful meal. The best feature of this hotel is the friendly, professional, attentive staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and gracious. The location is also a great base to explore Arles, St Remy, Aix en Provence, Avignon (our favorite), etc. We will definitely return to this beautiful place.

Beautiful Villa

I treated myself to a stay in this lovely hotel for my birthday. It was the perfect choice. It seems that no detail is overlooked here: it spotlessly clean and smells lovely, with beautiful furnishings and decor, and lovely outdoor spaces. My room was quiet, comfortable and restful. The staff, to the person, was extremely helpful, polite and pleasant. There were small touches throughout my stay that I appreciated very much: a glass of champagne for my birthday, handwritten notes, etc. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to when I can return. Highly recommended!

Boutique Hotel Cezanne

Friendly boutique hotel

Reviewed By AudreyK307

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 10 years or so. I like the location which is just a couple blocks from Cours Mirabeau, the boutique cozy feel of the space, and the friendly staff that accommodates my limited ability to speak the French language with their willingness to speak English. Just be patient as not all requests are easily translatable, but eventually we understand each other. I use the hotel to help adjust to the time difference after a long flight as the beds are comfortable, they have curtains that block out light and in most rooms, good a/c. I would suggest that if you have mobility issues or prefer a cooler room in the summer, that you request to not be put on the 5th floor as the elevator only goes to the 4th floor, then you have to walk up steps to the 5th floor. They will graciously carry your bags, however. Also, room 501 stays warm because it is on the top floor plus gets lots of sunshine, so the a/c on my recent stay couldn’t cool the room down enough for my preference. The technician worked on it and it got a little better but the room still remained a bit warm and stuffy. Also, they have a garage that is a brief walk down the side street. Parking spaces are tight especially if you have a big car and there is a steep incline into the parking lot which could be a problem if you have mobility issues. None of this detracts from the hotel, just noting issues to avoid if they pertain to a person’s preferences.

Negrecoste hôtel is categorised with 4 stars but the accommodation is not at the level of 4 stars requirement. We Booked a charming room and decoration is very basic with no charm. Morning breakfast is an express breakfast with no cooking and no buffet : 1 hot drink, 1 fruit Juice 1 pastry, 1 pièce of breakfast stick. No confortable lobby with chairs . The face of the hotel is disfigured by air conditionning and sliding windows. For the SPA the bath is very small and with stairs access. We did not inform us about relaxing room . Massage are the only good point with high level expertise.
