Curia Palace Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

Amid the vineyards of the demarcated Bairrada region and the Curia Health Spa outside Coimbra is the Curia Palace, Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. A beautiful property dressed up in art deco style, exquisite antiques, high ceilings, spacious rooms that were now improved with the comfort of the furniture of the actual days, but always preserving the rich style of the Golden Years.

The hotel I have booked at Booking from Oct. 11-th till Oct. 13-th 2021 was closed! No warnings from Booking before.

Two days before, on Oct. 9-th, I have got from Booking an mail: Good news Dick E., your reservation in Curia is confirmed. It was terrible, it took me 180 km extra by car that day to find an other hotel. There was no compassion from Booking and no compensation done by Booking. One of my holidays was lost due to Booking!

Grande Hotel da Curia

Like most people, I had great expectations for this hotel too... I was hoping to find something majestic, something exquisite, something that could match the name and history of the place... but no, it's none of that. I leave with the feeling it was a great place once that turned out old and is slowly dying. The 3 days in gave me that impression. Positive aspects to me are the main room, which is very sweet and confortable, with all the antiques and paintings resembling an old era; and the warm temperature in all floors (please not the building is huge). The negative are too many to point out...

Pharmacy Hostel

The old building of Thermal Curia Pharmacy in the heart of the Bairrada was transformed into the Pharmacy Hostel. The merger between modern and vintage decor, differentiating feature, is present in 7 rooms, as on the remaining facilities such as a Coffee Shop & Bar with light meals and a Gift Shop with own-brand products.

You Just Need a Place to Sleep? You Found it.

On a business trip or even on a holiday trip where you need the most of your time to know the place and just need a cleanny space to sleep. You found it. Well located, cleanny, greap price and a lot of sympathy from the owner. The place seems a little bit old and it's having some mantainance works but it will do for sure. Only thing that could be and must improve is the water pressure when you're taking a shower. Terrible.

Curia Clube Hotel

Curia is a thermal springs resort located between two cities, Coimbra and Aveiro. It is about 25 Km from beaches, with direct access to the Spanish border (Vilar Formoso / Fuentes D??noro). It is a great place for vacation or just a relaxing weekend with fantastic resort structures, such as Golf, Tennis, Squash, Swimming pools, etc. Our Curia-Clube complex has a two option real state program, divided in Apartment Hotel and Residential.

Old hotel room on a residential building, with poor service and real bad commodities

Reviewed By Bruno Torres B

Pros: - it's good if you want to cook your own food and have access to a kitchen. Cons: - everything else - shower lasts give minutes. Not enough for even one person - the fact they have a bathtub is laughable - energy grid can't take more than 2 electric devices - smells like old - bed is really uncomfortable - room is freaking cold - you can literally hear everything from other rooms... Looks like there's people living in the apartment building as well. Heard dogs, couples fighting and kids playing around - the toilet was not flushed down (full of feces) and it has the "disinfected" sign. Really? Avoid yourself a big headache and go elsewhere or other city.
