A wonderful little gem
Reviewed By Louise BA real “find” on our journey through France. We received a lovely, genuine warm welcome by the English speaking lady on reception. Everything was extremely professional. Our room was very tastefully decorated, to the highest standard. The beds were comfortable, with soft pillows and good quality bed linen. The bathroom was fully equipped with bath and shower. A very high standard of comfort and cleanliness everywhere in the room and hotel. Breakfast was well run and tasty, with good choice of coffee. The restaurant next door is a Must - we enjoyed a superb three course dinner of the highest quality, served with grace and professionalism. We will definitely return.

Exceptional welcome at the Hotel de la Sologne
Reviewed By R8657CVmatthewhI was travelling by bicycle with my learning-disabled son who was hot and tired at the end of a long ride. The hotel owner saw us through the window as we arrived, came out and welcomed us, and made sure we had everything we needed. My son was still distressed the following morning, so she found a nice quiet spot for our breakfast away from other guests, insisted we take the rest of the gluten-free bread that she'd provided specially, and said we could stay on beyond check-out time if necessary. Really exceptional.

Good location, limited comfort
Reviewed By Timo LThe hotel lies close to city centre and next to some very good restaurants. Our room was really small and the bathroom even smaller. The room was also very hot, facing the sun all day. Service was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and plenty but the breakfast room congested.

Very welcoming and well run
Reviewed By anng121A fabulous small hotel run by very professional staff. We were immediately made to feel welcome by the manager in the immaculately clean reception area and our covid passes were checked. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and we had a shower room with separate W.C. Beds were comfortable with lovely bed linen. There is a very nice garden where we were able to sit before dinner. The dining room, where we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, is also very nicely decorated. Dinner was extremely good with a varied menu and every dish prepared with care and attention to detail. Generous portions, too. The lady running the dining room was very professional and friendly. I would love to stay there again and would happily recommend this super hotel.

The former monks' cells have become fine rooms and apartments, decorated so as to blend in with the spirit of the building and adorned with period furniture. They look onto the majestic river and its banks. This is a superb site that can also be enjoyed from the garden, the large terrace or vegetable garden. Enjoy regional cuisine and trappist Beer wine in front of the fireplace in winter and on the veranda in summer,looking onto the legendary Beaugency bridge.
1,000 year old enchanting Abbey!
Reviewed By Sharon AWe had a wonderful and comfortable stay in this hotel that at one time was an abbey. The rooms are comfortable and small but keep in mind, they're old monk bedrooms. The perimeter of doors to the rooms appear to have not been altered and they are all slightly different, which gives character to the hotel. There's no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags for one or two floors. After we checked in, we went to hotel bar and had local beer made by monks. The beers were extremely tasty!! The breakfast was the best breakfast that we have ever had. A variety of fresh bread, and jam and other breakfast items are made by monks. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Soft or hard boiled eggs that you cook on your own. A large charcuterie plate was also served. We loved the place so much that we wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was also great!!

A perfect overnight stay in every way
Reviewed By TonySwissSadly, we were passing through and could only stay one night. A week would have been better! Our second-floor accommodation consisted of a sitting room, a separate bedroom, and a modernly equipped bathroom. Everything was stylish and immaculately presented. The house, with its dark wood paneling and stained-glass windows is a delight, and the garden with its stream and many mature trees a restful place to spend time. I sleep best with open windows, and there was no traffic sound at all to keep me awake. Breakfast was good too.
