Always a bit uncertain about return trips however we have returned a number of times to La Tonnellerie over a period of 15 years. New owners have settled in and are making their changes gained in their own experience of hospitality.The gardens and setting is lovely. The team running the hotel are great hosts remembering our names and offering a high level of service.Before dinner drinks on the lounge with a fire and background of French radio and large selection of French reading materials.Dinner was typically French and superb with a game pie and salad followed by beef steak and vegetables. Local cheese selection and profiteroles to follow. About £100 with wine and beers. Perfect.We will return again in the future.

We went two times for drinks and diner. An excellent place for seeing the world go by while having a beer (or two). Food was good, service also good, the owner helping serve the drinks and food.

This Italian restaurant is very good for both business as with friends. It comes with wide choices of starters, pasta, pizza but also typical French dishes. The food is very good, the price is acceptable, the waiter is very friendly (speaks English) and the boss is very present and friendly as well. The special coffee which comes with 3 desserts is strongly advised to end your diner. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I'm around!

Friendly place with good food and good service. Good attitude too; when the waiter forgot to bring a second glass of wine to my partner, and had to be reminded, he apologised and brought it quickly and deducted it from the bill. He was particularly busy at the time and you couldn't fault him for a minor slip-up like that, but the way he dealt with it was exemplary.The food was great too! An unforgettable meal, for all the right reasons! Amazing food, so fresh and perfectly prepared, cooked in the open fire in the main room. There were four of us and each one ordered a different dish - they were all absolutely delicious! A beautiful setting, in an Abbey with a view of the Loire river. And to top it all up, fantastic, friendly service making everything even more special. Our server was incredibly attentive, helping us each find the perfect wine pairing for our meal, and Didier is a master of hospitality. Having visited many restaurants in 80 countries, I have to say this one will stand out in our memories not only for the high quality meal we had but also for their hospitality. If you are planning a visit to the Loire valley you should definitely add this place to your âmust visitâ list. They also have a range of locally made products available such as essential oils, creams, honey and jams. I have also heard wonders about their breakfast and next time weâre in the area we will try to book a room at the hotel. **** Jantar inesquecÃvel! Comida maravilhosa, preparada com perfeição. Estávamos em quatro pessoas e cada um pediu um prato diferente - todos estavam deliciosos! O lugar e lindÃssimo, um antigo Abbey com vista para o rio Loire; e a equipe super simpática e atenciosa faz a experiência ainda mais especial. Se um passeio na região do vale do Loire está nos seus planos não deixe de encaixar uma visita à esse restaurante! Once again, a restaurant we visit often when staying in town, food was exceptional. Service this time round was a tad too slow. We had to flag the waiter down to take our order and also ask for bread when having snails for starters. Will return.

Four of us ate dinner here on a Sunday evening. The server spoke excellent English and was very friendly. Our group had several different pasta dishes and a calzone. All of them were excellent and the portions were very generous. We sat at an outdoor table on a very pleasant evening. The service was excellent. We enjoyed our evening very much. Iâd highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here twice during my stay in Beaguancy- once for lunch and the other for breakfast. A lovely, bright and caml space, with lovely staff. Food homemade and divine. Lovely to sit outside as well and look out at the church and castle.

Four of us ate here on a Friday evening. We made a reservation but doc not need it when we arrived at 7:00 pm. By about 7:45 pm, the restaurant was full. We each had burgers. I had a bacon burger and fries. They were very tasty. The service was prompt. One serverspoke good English. The cheese cake and cream brûlée were both very nice. The facility is modern and clean. We had a pleasant evening and a good meal.

A small family team offering top quality food, ambitiously presented, with professional service.
