Time seems to stand still in Evora, a well-preserved medieval town that features protective walls, a 13th-century cathedral, several palaces, and a 1st-century Roman temple. No surprise that the town center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even though it’s kind of creepy, don’t miss the Chapel of Bones, where the remains of nuns and monks are arranged in a haunting mosaic.

The Old Évora Hostel is located in the historical center of Évora, inside the city walls. You can see all the main attractions of the city within a small walking distance from our hostel. Giraldo Square - 290 meters (05 minutes) Roman Temple - 800 meters (11 minutes) Cathedral - 550 meters (08 minutes) Chapel of Bones - 600 meters (08 minutes) Garcia de Resende Theater - 600 meters (08 minutes) Park - 550 meters (09 minutes) We have two buildings, very typical of this region, with different types of rooms. If you come alone, with friends or as a couple, don't worry, we've got your back!
Old Evora Hostel was the perfect place! The owner was lovely! She was incredibly accommodating and happy to help in anyway she could. She made sure everyone had enough for breakfast and was always accessible. The beds and rooms are incredibly clean as well as the bathrooms. This is a great place for families, friends, couples and solo travelers. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay!

We spent a busy weekend here, in the UNESCO recognized city of Évora. The staff (we loved Joana) are so helpful with making phone calls , answering questions and booking tours. The rooms are clean and spacious. Private rooms with private baths are easy to rent. The hostel is located inside the old walled city and close to many interesting and historical sites. Lots of common spaces for relaxation, including terraces with views. There are a few good restaurants, with indoor and outdoor tables, in the small square right in front of the hotel. Only negative was that the beds were a bit hard - but that is a personal preference.

we were passing by that appartment and out of sudden the landlord came by with some other guests. I asked him if it is possible to see the room. he opend the door of the appartment but did not allow me to enter the room. he insisted that I book a room on booking.com first. the only thing I wanted was to check the bed since I have serious back problems. then we left.

We enjoyed our stay in Evora and in Hostel Raymundo very much. The hostel has a very good location. Our room was very nice and clean and we had a nice view. The shared bathrooms are very clean and never busy. There is a shared kitchen and a roof terrace to enjoy the meal. Breakfast is included and very tasty. Staff is very friendly. We’d definitely come back.

Burgos Guest House is located at the heart of the iconic Évora historic centre, only 2 minutes away by foot to Giraldo Square, the Cathedral of Évora, and the Roman Temple. Set in a typical building of the World Heritage city, all Burgos Guest House rooms combine traditional characteristics, like wood flooring or hydraulic mosaic, with modern furniture and lighting. All of them come with an LCD television, totally equipped private bathroom, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Some have a sofa and balcony, so you can enjoy the city in the comfort of your room. With plenty of restaurants, cafés, and traditional shops to choose from just minutes away, Burgos Guest House is the ideal place to discover the city of Évora. Rooms and shared areas totally renovated at the end of 2018/early 2019!
A guest house well located in the center of town. We had a room with 4 single beds. Very comfortable mattress and soft clean sheets. Our room was on the top floor so not to much noise from the street below. Air conditioning shower etc all work well. Good price for what you get.

An Unique Experience!A Poetic Hostel!Hostel Namaste is located in the heart of Evora, one of the most important cities of the south of Portugal and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986.More than being at a Hostel, you are in a home that is also yours;a very interesting arabic architecture, where the liveliness and freshness of our team will welcome you with authenticity, kindness and all the affection that all the travellers of the world deserve.Welcome to Hostel Namaste - Evora
We had decided to go to Tevora spontaneously and prelonged are stay from 1 to 2 nights after we found this gem. The guests are a nice mix of long stay residents and tourists. As we caught Evora on a rainy day, it was nice to sit by the log fire and chat with the ever so friendly owner Margarida and her husband João in the living room. We at first where indecisive because of the shared bathroom, but everyone seems to leave them clean and spotless. If you come by car, leave your car at the Rossio parking for free and do the 5 minute walk by foot. Thank you for making our stay in Evora so special!
