Unbelievable Experience with Ho'olei - Deluxe Ocean View

Reviewed By MattD4030

I cannot recommend booking with Ho'olei enough. We had four adults (two married couples) and one infant and the experience was fantastic. First off, the Ho'olei team was extremely communicative weeks before our trip even started. We had texts and emails with the concierge regularly As a parent of an infant, the included high chair, crib, and baby proofing of the unit was extremely helpful. It was all set up when we arrived. Additionally, as we had a full kitchen and grill, they have a grocery service that will pick up groceries before you get there. We arrived at 2AM our time (8PM Hawaii time) and all of our groceries were put away in the fridge and on the counter ready for us to use. It was a very nice thing after 14+ hours of travel. Check in was very smooth with clear instructions of how to use the property. We had a Deluxe Ocean View which meant we were in the last row. The views of the ocean were incredible with multiple whale sightings per day. The only downfall of this is that the walk down to the pool or the hotel was a little longer. However, if you do want to go to the hotel, free valet was included in our stay which was a huge bonus. Additionally, when you don't want to drive, there is a daily shuttle service you just text to get picked up that runs until 8PM (however the valets take over after 8PM) Our concierge helped us book 99% of our activities. We also had a reservation as Mama's fish house, which you have to book months in advance. At the last minute we had another guest wanting to join us for dinner and the concierge was able to contact the restaurant and add the additional guest. This was a fantastic trip and if you have any questions I am more than happy to answer it!!

Amazing stay!

My family is currently staying at Wailea Beach Villas. We are in unit L410...a 2BR ocean view penthouse. We have made many trips to Maui and have always stayed at Grand Wailea but this time decided to rent a condo. These units are exceptional. There is security when you arrive. You check in at the desk and are greeted with a fresh lei. Once checked in you are escorted to your parking space which is directly across from the elevator that leads to you unit. The key card allows you to access your room with a private entrance. A very nice feature. The unit is extremely clean and very well appointed. The master has a very nice shower and separate tub and a very large walk in closet. The second bedroom had 2 twin beds and their own large bathroom. The kitchen was so well stocked. It had all dishes/glasses and a plastic set as well if you wanted to take to pool. It's fully stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, barware....anything you may need during your stay including small appliances like blenders, rice cookers, coffee grinders and mixers. There are 2 refrigerators and drawer freezers. The patio has a Viking grill that is great for grilling fish on. There is a full laundry room if needed and detergent is supplied. There are 2 pools with one being an adult pool. There are a few cabanas that can be used at no additional cost. The pool attendants will set them up for you or, if you'd like, they will set you up on the beach with umbrellas. They keep the pool and surrounding area spotless. I've seen them spot cleaning the pool cushions. The property itself is beautiful. It's lushly landscaped and well maintained. We've enjoyed staying in the condo as there is a grocery store within walking distance that has anything you may need and the units are right next to a nice outdoor retail space with shops and restaurants. The location is really good if you're looking for a relaxing stay. They schedule you for a cleaning service mid-stay if needed. All in all we all agreed this is a phenomenal property that is very comfortable to stay in. There is plenty of room for our family of 4 and it's made the stay perfect!

The condo was very clean and had everything needed, however the hot tub was broken four out of the six days we were there, the beds weren’t the most comfortable you could tell that they were very basic so I would not recommend if you have back problems or are looking for the comfort level of a hotel. Also, there was incredibly loud construction work going on for three days while we were there and while I understand Hyatt does not have control over this surely they could have managed it in during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year which is memorial day weekend. Also, to pay for the room took over 3 Hours of phone calls to accomplish, Then to come to find out later that because I book through a third-party that there was an additional person charge for each night we were there. Overall if you manage your own expectations and don’t expect a hotel night type of stay then this is a great place for a family to stay in terms of value

Beware - I paid for a platinum level condo but was assigned one of the worst located and out of date condos on the property. Do not book through a travel agent or management company. Book directly with the condo owner for a specific condo.
