Latitude 26 Waterfront Boutique Resort - Fort Myers Beach

ADORABLE!!!

Reviewed By Melissa S

If you want a luxury resort -- this is not your place. BUT -- if you want something cute and funky with TONS of free amenities -- book it now!!! We stayed in a cute little loft room. It was clean and comfortable and had a fridge. The free breakfast is mostly pre-packaged sugar heavy items -- but the coffee was really good. The coolest part is it is located on the canal and they let you use the kayaks and stand up paddle boards for free -- they also have free bikes, fishing items, beach chairs/toys and they are incredibly nice! I would totally stay there again.

La Villa Resort

Surprisingly great surprise.

I made a last minute reservation for a one night stay for a business meeting. I was flying in at the last minute and didn't know what to expect. The staff was very, very helpful in leaving a key in a lock box for my late night arrival. My room was the Key West room right next to the office and was recently remodeled. This is a old mom and pop hotel and the room was unconventional in layout. Lovely and huge living, kitchenette, walk in bathroom and shower and TV. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place was spotless. The beach is about 300 steps away. Just a quick walk through the parking lot, over a small footbridge, through the trees and there you are on the beach!. There is one downside to my room, that is its on the corner of the building and close to the road and can be noisy with traffic in the morning. However there are plenty of other rooms that would be much quieter. The owners just bought the facility last month and clearly care about guest experience. I paid about $220 for the night and was the most inexpensive room I could find with a decent review. The La Villa FAR exceeded my expectations plus I was just steps from the gulf in the morning.

Consumer beware

I recently stayed at Latitude 26 Beach Resort. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was disappointing; it consisted of dry cereal, pop tarts, and some packaged bear claws. When I checked out, I noticed a $53.82 credit card surcharge. I contacted them to question it and was told that’s what the credit card companies charge. When I called my credit card company, I was told that they do not charge anything to book a hotel room. I have used this same credit card at other places where I have stayed and never been charged this fee. Very disappointed about how this was handled. I wanted to pass this on so other vacationers are aware of this.

We have stayed here before so we knew what to expect. This is the closest motel to the Key West ferry. Long black hair in sink. I have short grey hair. Price is fair. No extras. Mask required to check in.

This place is the meaning of hidden gem!!! Service from Lien and Pat was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for better hosts! Location. Right in the heart of the beach area literally 3 minutes from beach and 30 seconds to restaurants but super quiet. Free parking as well. Hotel. Rooms are rustic but very clean. Fridge, and small kitchen. Bbq for guests to use which was great as we cooked dinner in one night. Has a great Florida feel to the property as beautiful gardens. Simple complementary breakfast each morning to Overlooking the water way, we did see a couple of manatees. Plus the two pools were so nice to sit and relax in. We loved the upstairs room as quiet and lovely sitting on balcony
